Re: What program was this?

Nope, that wasn't the program. As far as I recall it wasn't for children either. More a building tool for making your own programs. And it was presented as the biggest thing ever and got some positive reviews. I never really understood the practical use of this program but I was intrigued by it. I'm...

What program was this?

I'm looking for the name of a program that was released (or would be released) for the Atari. They released it as if it was the best thing ever, and would make story telling with multimedia effects a piece of cake. The name was something with ...book or book... I could be totally wrong about the pur...

That's precisely what's wrong. Why should Atari people do things because Amiga people did and vice-versa? That makes no sense and won't bring more interesting things, sorry. Copy the good things and innovate beyond that would me my approach. Could you tell me some new cool stuff that happened recen...

See I am quite the opposite from you in that I like any old hardware that I take pleasure in using, and I go for new hardware that is the "best" for what I want at the time I am buying, same goes for software, I am not a Microsoft fanboy its just plain fact that windows is the only operat...

Who cares about Lemon Amiga or whatever website, just enjoy the damn machine and that's it. We have that, they don't have it... They have that, we don't have it... Leave that kind of crap where it belongs (the past), both machines have enough games and demos to meet everybody's needs. Well if 'they...

Re: Amiga vs Atari-ST (current situation)

Many people are prone to fanboyism, and it is they who chose to folow only one path and miss out on so much other good stuff :| Fanboyism is mostly defending your spendings. It's not nice if someone tells you the thing you've spend 100's on isn't the greatest thing on earth and you should have boug...

I agree with you christos. I like projects where people build great stuff with old computers. Retro gaming is not my only interest. New things happening is great, I only tend not to see it on the AL site it's probably somewhere hidden in some forum posts. @Cooper Almost for free ;) http://cgi.ebay.c...

Great to see you're doing some work on the Atari Legend website! First let me say I think it's a great job to run a site like AL which has a huge content and that I always considered a reliable source for Atari ST information. So kudos to the Atari Legend team. Seeing other sites though, I do believ...

Hi guys :) Reading all the reactions I think I might have made the wrong impression. I still think the ST is a fantastic machine and in some areas better than the Amiga. There are some fine coders still active here, I've seen some great stuff from Paradize (they just needs to test it on the GP2X bef...

Amiga vs Atari-ST (current situation)

Hi, I used to be a real Atari ST fanboy :) Don't have my old Atari ST anymore and only use emulators to revive the old nostalgic feeling. For games I use the GP2X that has an awesome Atari_ST emulator (OutcaST) from Skeezix. I always looked with envy to the Amiga Lemon site, that is such a terrific ...

I will try to explain in some more detail what I like about the rating system that the lemon sites have. On the games section you see the top 25 games. Ratings are subjective so when you want to know more about the games you can click the game and see the comments of people. Keep in mind that giving...

Just an opinion...

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to give ratings to the games on atari legend or atari.st?
Sometimes I watch, with envy, to the lemonamiga site, would be great to have something simalar for the Atari.

Nope I can answer the most posts without any problem. I'm using Firefox on a Linux PC. Never had any issues with posting...

Agreed, Atari has a lot to overcome. But I'd like them to, and get at least a foothold back in the market. How well is the GP2X doing in Europe? I know a bunch of people here who've never heard of the thing and are curious, then there are people like me that have read up on it and really would like...

Nice forum! I've had a Atari-ST years ago and it's still one of my favorite computers.
I re-live the old ST experience on my GP2X, love that machine and very capable of emulating the ST.
