Re: MegaCD (SegaCD) Core

What is the best way to name your SegaCD BIOS files? Is there a way to do this so that the relevant US, EU and JP BIOS get selected automatically? I know if I rename the US BIOS to boot.rom it will load it as the default, but is there a way to do the same for EU and JP bios? Ideally I want to be abl...

Re: ScummVM running on FrameBuffer

I’m not a coder so I’m not going to comment on the debate over ScummVM not being a true FPGA core. That being said, I would love to be able to play my old ScummVM games on my MiSTer and if they run well on the platform, then why not?

Re: MiSTer Logo Design

I'm no designer, but when it comes to a good logo, I think simplicity is key. It should be instantly recognizable when reduced to a silhouette. Also, while colour versions are fine, there should also be a plain one or two colour version. Think the Apple logo, or Sun or Intel. Also, at risk of being ...

Re: Newbie questions

Wait, one of these is micro USB and the other is a cirular power plug... How do you connect them? Is there anywhere in the UK, I can get a UK plug for the De 10 nano. Rather replace the shaver type adapter You also need to be careful with those adapters as they can often be low level Chinese hardwar...

Re: Join the new MiSter sub-reddit

The sub-reddit is not intended to be a replacement for the forums, but it's a good place to draw attention to information that infrequent visitors to the forums might not have seen. Also, it's a way for the wider Reddit community to discover MiSTer. If you don't use reddit, you won't need the sub-re...

Help! How do I prevent the display being stretched when connected to a 16:9 display over VGA?

I've just got my MiSTer working for the first time. It's great to be able to use an Amiga again after all these years. Not to mention Mega Drive and SNES games. :) One question. I have hooked the MiSTer up to an older widescreen display which only has a DVI input - I am using a DVI to VGA cable to c...

Re: BBC Micro

Oh the BBC Micro - it was the first computer I ever used. We had one in our classroom at school. I remember playing Repton and Citadel for hours!!! They were both great games in their day, and Repton's gameplay would still hold up today - the ability to create your own levels, made it endlessly repl...

Nintendo 64 and other later Gen Cores

Apologies if this has already been answered in the past - I only recently discovered the MiSTer project, and am yet to assemble my first build. I notice that Cores have been developed for an amazing range of 16-bit platforms, and a basic PC. How feasible is it that we might see more advanced cores d...
