Re: SNES core

Here is the comparison of effectiveness of turbo in the super FX games throughout the different builds, just to have an idea of where things stand currently: -------------------------------------- 10-17-19 SNES Build with new CPU Turbo (Time in seconds taken to complete intro segment) compared to: [...

Re: SNES core

Did some testing with SFX games, you are correct, all additional frame rate is lost with the new changes. I took a look at stunt race fx on the old version of turbo and I don't see any graphical glitches in first person. However that game always looks like a glitchy mess to me, so maybe I'm just mi...

Re: SNES core

I also cannot load the 240p test suite with vsync_adjust 2 enabled after the update that came out on 5/13 (or possibly 5/10).

pressing the core reset button on the MiSTer IO board after trying to get the 240p test suite to load will get it to display correctly

Re: SNES core

Menu is also core. So you cold reboot and quickly start SNES/TGFX? this is also counted as quick core switch. Menu core also clears the SDRAM/DDR (give it to work 3-5 seconds at least) so it's a good workaround for cores relay on memory without cleaning. This is good to know-- I thought when the co...

Re: SNES core

There is no relation between cores. The issue may happen if quickly switch between cores. Generally speakeing, I'm tired to explain this again and again.. Does this issue sometimes happen when you cold-reboot between cores? Because that is the issue I'm encountering. I am not just quick-swapping th...

Re: SNES core

James provided me a compiled build of the latest SNES core with the current commits (I'll refer to this as 'SNES Test') to see if it fixed the analog line noise introduced by the last official SNES core release, and this build fixes it, however it seems to be introducing a new issue. The new core se...

Re: MiSTer Logo Design

Here are some samples I tried on dafont.com: I was browsing these logos to see if anything stood out to me, and I like quite a few of them, but this one in particular got me thinking: http://www.atari-forum.com/download/file.php?id=38904&mode=view (I dont think I have enough posts to even quote...
