Re: rare arcade game not emulated anywhere else

The Atari 2600 Driving controller (through a good USB adapter) would be nice for these games. Retronic Design Adapter is supporting them. The 2600-daptor II (or one of its variants) is also a good choice. I believe the Bliss Box should support this as well. (But yes, even with smooth control from a...

Re: rare arcade game not emulated anywhere else

It will be hard to simulate the wheel. As far as i know it has endless turn. So even though if this game will be re-created, the control cannot be simulated at the same experience at it had. The controls could be simulated with the joystick using the code I wrote for Sprint. It isn’t perfect but al...

Re: MiSTer NES Core

Okay, thank you for the explanation. I understood the technical background and I have luckily the technical abilities to modify them. But what about the standard end user? Could implement a solution similar to Nestopia’s XML database, for a consistent user experience. https://github.com/0ldsk00l/ne...

Re: Atari 2600

@lightwave: How much free games are there which uses this CPU? Is there a list or something? I think the most have to be paid or not? The games can be purchased as carts from Atari Age, but for many the authors have generously made the ROMs available for free as well. Currently available (off the t...

Re: Atari 2600

Let's connect Core i7 and some GBs of RAM to A2600. It will let to play some current AAA titles. But what's the point of it? A2600 has MOS6507 CPU and let's keep it this way. For 70MHz ARM there are other computers. If someone write games for ARM, then it's not A2600 at all. The ARM in this case is...

Re: Atari 2600

70MHz ARM for Atari 2600, what?? Let me calm down my laughing shoes  Get the Galaga arcade core or numerous implementations on different consoles and computers. There is no point to mess with it. Let A2600 be A2600. While I understand your point, just to clarify: The extra processing in Harmon...

Re: Classic Gaming [Discord Server] - MiSTer Community

many people will just never want to spend time reading the wiki to find information, it's a shame but that's often just the way that people are much of the time. I would suggest that MiSTer is the wrong project for anyone not patient enough to read about setup and configuration. Maybe someday MisTe...

Konami just announced an upcoming Turbografx-16 mini with PC-Engine and Core-Grafx varients! This is especially cool because I want to buy the controllers to use on the MiSTer and MiST! Awesome, I’ll be grabbing one for the controllers as well. By the looks of it there are 2 USB ports, so it will b...

I'm having an issue with 2 button Menu combo: I've assigned "Select"+"Down" as the menu combo for my controller in the main MiSTer core, and it works correctly. However, when I then try to assign buttons for that controller in a core where there are no assignments yet (default), ...

I suspect the Wiimote can be used for Nintendo Mini Classic Controllers too, so having good NES/SNES joypad replica with the added benefit of wireless and additional buttons (i.e. menu button) on the Wiimote. This is correct, the NES and SNES Classic Controllers work perfectly with the Wiimote. I a...

To sum up about remaining chips from Wiki: ST011: there are many other Shogi (Chinese checkers) games exist. There are several such games with SA1. Benefit of Using a Custom Modeline for HDMI?

Are custom modelines only useful with an HDMI display for solving simple issues (i.e. no video)? Or is it possible that they may improve compatibility for vsync_adjust for example? I'm currently using video_mode=8 (1080p@60) and vsync_adjust=2 works great with many cores (NES, SNES, Genesis, some Ar...
