Re: Atari TT030 and system V

Right, the drive is as follows:

Maxtor 340MB Hard Drive
Model: LXT340SY
Serial No: 1C06103382
TLA No: 9644407 4

Thats all the interesting numbers I could find on the drive.

Hope thats of some help,

Richard.

Re: Atari Clearout

Hey Joska,

I can probably post the smaller items, no problem. Its the power supply on the supercharger thats heavy.
PM me with any items you are interested in.

The TT (excluding ASV hard disk) and Falcon have gone.

Cheers,

Richard.

Re: Atari TT030 and system V

Hey guys, I also have a pile of ASV related floppys that came from Ataris ASV dev group, all labelled with interesting things (no installation floppys though). I will image these and make them available (possibly send them to mikro to host all ASV related stuff in the same place?), if anyone is inte...

Re: Atari TT030 and system V

My main problem with the distribution of this image was with the potential legal issues.

But I am pretty sure no-one is going to be interested in ATARI ASV, so as far as I am concerned my version can be distributed.

lol the first question on the e-bay item has a link to my web page. Sure I have an '040 Falcon but its just an standard Falcon with an Afterburner. I have an Afterburner as well, although it's not in use ATM (which will change shortly as my "new" Falcon arrived today). Were you on the AB ...

Re: Forum upgrade

hmmm not sure I like the new look and feel, doesn't seem as intuitive as the previous version and definantly not as clear.
Oh well, I will just have to put up with it.

I was quite addicted to Superfly when it came out, I logged over 24 hours play time on it. Although my scores were never all that great :(

I just used the space bar on my falcon, seemed to do the trick. Maybe I should try different control methods.

Hi, I imaged my system by plugging the drive into my HP-UX system and imaging the whole drive using DD, then transfered the image to my Windoze PC using FTP. My version of ASV appears to work fine (a little slow though), the only thing I am struggling with is getting it on my network. Cheers, Richard.

As far as I have tried, and confirmed by Uwe Seimet you cannot access an ASV hard drive from TOS (with any known HD driver). The only way to retrieve files etc from an ASV drive is via FTP or similar, but that does require a working ASV OS. I have managed to create a backup image of my drive using D...

....also....

The other devices it fails to find (ND, PR, and TP) also are
not found on my TT so I do not think they are a problem.

So you best bet is to put the drive in your 4+4 TT and give that a try.

Hi Mark, In the first screenshot it indicates the 'LA' device not found, this I believe is a LAN card and shouldn't be anything to worry about. Unix should rebuild its configuration and possibly reboot. I don't get this on my system as I have a riebl VME ethernet card plugged into it. The point stra...

So Mark any updates on getting Unix running on your TT?

As far as creating images of ASV, I am not sure what legal issues there are with duplicating this OS.

How many other ASV users are there out there?

Hi, I recently have setup my TT running ASV, what problems are being reported when you try booting it up? The only problem I found with mine was it complained about something to do with the swapfile, but that was caused by me changing the SCSI ID of the drive, I changed it back and it all booted up ...
