Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

It’s possible to have a very narrow active display. I think I last saw it in the game Flood during loading screens, which gets stretched massively with the Blank+ option. So adjusting the crop is a lot more predictable. I have tuned a pretty nice vadjust file which includes consistent crops for all ...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

With the new TG68K.C CPU core these previously non-working WHDL slaves now work - BMX Simulator - Encounter - Gravity - Hyperion - Pinball Brain Damage - Twylyte - Wanderer 3D - Wheels On Fire - XP8 A mixed bag of 3D deep cuts and "new" Polish titles. :) I did not check if there are any re...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Cannon Fodder is a “half framerate” game. Sensible Soccer, on the other hand, runs at a full 50 fps (except when all players are visible, iirc, but that was optimized in later versions perhaps?). Giana Sisters is a good game for testing display frame pacing. The intro screen scrolls sideways at a pe...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

There’s an “adjust screen” option on the last configuration screen (or named something similar to that) that lets you adjust the crop. It handles the different video modes individually. yes, it's called overscan, in system/prefs. But doenst do anything when you adjust the screen to borders. EDIT:ok...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

The screen resolution is odd, 640x512 only fills the center of the screen, is any way to improve this?(Oher resolutions has similar results.) There’s an “adjust screen” option on the last configuration screen (or named something similar to that) that lets you adjust the crop. It handles the differe...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

rdbtool, which is part of the amitools set of python utilities, has worked really well for me. It can create HD images as well as partition it and put filesystem binaries in place.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

68020 has cache (i-cache), so for AGA chipram cache must be enabled. I also suggest to enable d-cache. Aha! That explains why all AGA specific games seem to need ChipRAM Cache to run as intended. Data Cache gives a super impressive speed boost in games with unthrottled frame rate. I just tried Viru...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Super Stardust AGA whdload, in past versions the games crashes, now starts but with rendering errors ... Super Stardust works properly with the CHIPRAM CACHE option enabled. I’d love to know why it doesn’t work as it should with a “stock config”, but I’m happy that option exists. :) A few Melon Dez...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Can you give some more details at which point Cool World, Mad Show and XP 8 crash? I cannot reproduce any crashes (at least not when starting the games. Maybe they crash later?). Mad Show does indeed work. I probably had messed up the options when testing that before. Also, Nigel Mansell's World Ch...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

The greatest loss among those are perhaps a good chunk of Graftgold's output (Fire & Ice, Paradroid 90, Rainbow Islands, Realms, Simulcra, Super Off Road, Uridium 2). I'm sure I've played with Super Off Road and Uridium2, maybe only in 68000 mode & ECS. Yes, I should have clarified that thi...

Tested with Dungeon Master 2 WHDLoad 1.0 Slave. Someone can try/confirm this for MiSTer? Yep, it works as o...

MiSTer binary is the same as in previous build, so i've included it just for completeness.
Please test it.

I distinctly remember slowdown in SWOS on real hardware when all (or almost all) players are visible on screen. I have amiga 1200 at home and playing swos on it (disk version). Re: Scart output color issue on my Sony Trinitron TV

Some Sony TVs are peculiar about the level on the sync signal, and wrong levels can yield the funky side effects you describe.
