Re: I am making a retro 8bit inspired case for my MiSTer what do you think ?

Looks really good, I do get a bit of an Atari 800XL vibe from this version, it's probably the black keyboard and case shape. I do like the idea of insetting the Neodymium magnets to hold the case together, very neat solution. The magnets worked very well for the top, but I also tried to hold everyt...

Re: Video issue in arcade cabinet

Hi, did you make any more progress ? it looks like no luck so far since our email contact. I was wondering if you have any other VGA devices you can run through the jpac to the CRT or is that what you did with the hdmi > vga adapter ?

I really want a Tandy 1000 core, they have some great games and for me in the UK it's very hard to find a real one.

I have one design for the Logitech wireless keyboard with pad and another for the logitech carbon full size. The back parts are the same and I just add a spacer in the middle.

I am making a retro 8bit inspired case for my MiSTer what do you think ?

This is something I have worked on for the past few weeks. I was going to look at either modding a old computer (that was not possible to fix) or using the project Julia 3d printed case, but it still needed changing to fir the MiSTer, but I brought the model and the Ajazz Ak33 keyboard to make it an...

Does anyone know anything about the Atari Tempest and Major Havoc FPGA system created by Scott Swazey ? I just remembered this and looking at the point I linked to in this video it's running on the de10. https://youtu.be/NVzlWMWNjeQ?t=1951

Re: Arcade cores

The Arkanoid core was released by Ace yesterday: https://github.com/Ace9921/Arcade-Arkanoid_MISTer It's not in the MiSTer repo yet, but it works well. I tried it on my cocktail setup with vertical CRT and the display was spot on, but as it's not setup for MiSTer the F12 or user options menu is not ...

Re: Arcade cores

I did this and it works with no trouble at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KCDbF7dhPk Currently, arcade cores process keyboard keys. Actually it's not necessary, so arcades could use just joystick buttons. In this case keyboard will force switch to joystick emulation. Probably i will modify ar...

Re: USB Hub board

This is how I am thinking of doing the usb hub board. I moved the brass stand off from the de10 and used them on the usb hub with some feet. The usb is on a header and the power is soldered to the jack and then passes it through to the de10. This is then plug in with no solder required. Photo 19-01-...

What about using the power socket on the usb board as the main power source and then soldering a barrel lead on the usb board to pass power to the de10. this way the end user will not need to solder anything. I've just wrote how i connect it myself. Of course for generic user there are 2 alternativ...

Re: USB Hub board

How are most people connecting them to 5v with a soldered wire, via the power jack or just using the OTG port (I guess this limited the current ?) I solder the wire to power jack under the board. This is most compact and easier way to supply 5V to USB hub. Of course it's not for generic user. Don't...

Re: MiSTer on PVM

I have connected my de10-nano to a 15 khz arcade monitor using a j-pac. This does not alter the frequency it just boost the signals to ttl that the arcade monitor would normally expect. I have tested most of the vertical cores and found that Bombjack would not sync and Moon cresta worked, but was fl...
