Re: New Case Design

I have a idea to take the pcb board out of a generic snes usb controller and mount it to the underside of the lid and have the buttons exposed on the top. I have usb ports on the inside of the case, so no wires outside the case. So far the fan and wifi is internal connected to usb. I have purchased:...

Re: New Case Design

Fan is installed and keeping the FPGA temps low. I have decided to develop a USB board ( http://blog.flipwork.nl/?x=entry:entry100224-003937;comments:1 ) to handle the 3 buttons so that the GPIO1 is still available.

GBA and Gameboy Cores not recognizing input

My setup only has a buffalo snes usb controller and usb keyboard. When starting both of these cores I'm having trouble getting to the screen that will allow rom selection. All other cores are working fine. Any ideas. Also tried a fresh sd card install and that did not work. Only noticed the problem ...

Re: New Case Design

I'm painting the case matte black today, hoping to have pictures later. Also I don't have the the top cover incorporate the reset, osd and user buttons. But will soon. They are just tied to ground on the latest schematic 6.0 and will print a holder for each button.

Re: NeoGeo topic

Thanks Kazki for the quick reply. I had the bios files in a sub directory called neogeo. Once I put them in the top level neogeo directory it worked. I was trying to test my new 128mb that i got from misteraddons.

Re: NeoGeo topic

I'm having trouble getting the NeoGeo core working. I got the files:

uni-bios.rom
neo-epo.sp1
sp-s2.sp1
000-lo.lo
sfix.sfix

I also got darksoft pack.

Every game I try shows files loading, but all i see is a dark screen.

Any ideas, maybe MD5 values for the above files and compare?

Re: FPGA Core that pushes MiSTer

I'm just going to be measuring the temp from the heat sink with a infrared thermometer. What would be considered to hot?

I also have access to the underside of the FPGA Board since its mounted upside down. I could measure the chip/pcb temp.

Thank You.

I'm designing a MiSTer case and wanted to measure temps on the heat sink so I can position the fan.

I wanted to test the worst case condition.

Re: New Case Design

Dimensions of the case fit everything. All I have to do is make a holder for the HDMI and Power on the back. I Will need to add some flair and some air vents. Also a hinged lid for the top.

Re: New Case Design

That's a clever design. The one thing I would add js a way to power the OTG hub (if it is the same as mine, it should have one microusb port for power). You could also make the walls of the case a separate print piece, for more flexibility. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the input. I have provided pow...
