Re: RAM write wait states

Yes, I should be careful, but mostly the sim seems legit (and I could make errors in it easily - those tons negations always confuse my mind).

Re: RAM write wait states

Progressed a bit with my simulation. I wonder why at https://temlib.org/AtariForumWiki/index.php/ST_STE_Scanlines#Horizontal_GLUE_state_machine.2C_ST says 184 IF(71) BLANK = TRUE but no BLANK reset. In my sim, BLANK reset (or set if I think about BLANK is negated) always active, and set is never act...

Re: MIST C64 core

I wasn't referring to the DB9 port, but to the USB port. I assure you that on the last 2 releases of the Core C64 the second button no longer works. From the core's POV, it doesn't matter if it's DB9 or USB. But I found the error in the POT inputs (second button of the GS controller is connected to...

Slingshot, what kind of improvement are you making to the core ? :) Already released! https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-binaries/blob/master/cores/fpgagen/fpgagen-20190420.rbf - HiFi PCM option from Jotego - Better 6 buttons game pad compatibility - VDP improvements - VDPFifoTestROM 122/122! - Mem...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)

I would be interested in new CIA model + flag_n revert. Since the Timer B Bug is a real bug in the real CIA, and I read in Wikipedia it affected real RS232.

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)

I will run Lorenz and VICE CIA test and compare to C64_20190415.rbf If it seems ok, I can do a pull request... There's no tests for the flag_n pin (as it requires an external source). Did you try with the "new" CIA model? (mode = 1). Recently the Timer B bug was added which affects the &q...

It can be reverted, I only tested the change with tape loading.

In which game? Second button was never connected, since the C64 joy port only has one button input (on pin 6).
Two buttons are only available in GS games, it works in Robocop 2 for me (fire and jump).

I'm not sure, but I started to suspect the problem is in 'wav-prg', the tool I used for creating the WAV files out of .TAP/.PRG.

Btw, wanna port TAP playing to VIC20/C16?

How can I change the DB9 connector hardware? - it still supports two buttons, nothing more (that's the standard - every other controller uses its own method for more buttons, it's wise to not support them all, since the different electrical characteristics and pinouts could even damage the ARM MCU i...

Re: New minimig_mist-20190418 core

Now the OSD works nice with joysticks/joypads except one regression I noticed compared to minimig-mist_1_2_3_beta 2018-05-25 core: when I press the A/fire button with OSD enabled the input event is also passed to the core: As I see, only if CD32Pad is enabled. Which was not possible with the older ...

Seems the ini_parser in the firmware has a maximum of 65 chars in a line. If your joystick_remap line is longer, then it'll be truncated. I will increase it to 90.
