Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

Another thing. Propably in all this trial and error I never took out the scsi terminators when using my Jaz drive. When I had my old setup with scsi HDD internal I also did not take the terminators out when using the external scsi port. It always seemed to work fine. I try to make my TT as quiet as ...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

Yesss, I got it working. Thanks Mzry for some pointers. It's a TT, HDDriver 8 something, have it since way back, SCSI2SD firmware 4.8. I think it was the first device being not bigger then 512MB. A lot of trial and error and finally succes. After that when attaching the old scsi HDD and writing a ne...

Re: SCSI2SD for TT help configuring!

Hello, just received a SCSI2SD too and trying to get it working. Is anyone able to boot from the scsi2sd, I'm not succesfull in that part. With HDDdriver I could not succesfully make partitions that showed up. Used CBHD for that and finally I could read & write on a test partition. Booting from ...

Re: De-Soldering - Soldering disaster STE

Followup on my STe. Installing a Quad ROM with this www.tehkella.net/retro/?p=257 guide. Bought myself a cheap eeprom programmer TL866A and eeproms from AliExpress which worked like a treat. Result in one GO. The only thing was that the wiring in the guide was a bit cryptic but looking closely at th...

Re: Another graphical issue, YELLOW SCREEN

Ok, when connecting directly there is no issue. RGB switch must be the culprit. Strange though that the TT doesn't have this issue, on both internal VGA and CrazyDots card, also on the same switch. I will check the powersupply. Also that it coinsided with me connecting something to a port and at sta...

Re: Another graphical issue, YELLOW SCREEN

I must admit that it's very strange behaviour. On the SM124 all is normal but that would be expected because it's a monochrome monitor.
Next test I took my STf out and connected it. YELLOW screen!!?? Will check without RGB switch now …. Odd. Will be continued.

Re: Another graphical issue, YELLOW SCREEN

Yes, that would be an easy fix. Sorry I was not complete. That was the first thing I checked. I also have my TT and a MacMini on the same LCD via a switch and the mac on the DVI port. Monitor is fine.

Another graphical issue, YELLOW SCREEN

Hello, I came across an old wacom tablet with a serial db9 plug and quickly googled for available drivers for the ST/TT. Meanwhile I stupidly connected the tablet to the second Joystickport. Started the STe up and right away I have a yellow background instead of white. In both High Rez and Low/Mediu...

Re: De-Soldering - Soldering disaster STE

Succes in repairing. Fully working STe again. :D I was a bit sceptical at first, afraid I damaged more things then the ROM area only. It was as if I was a baby-surgeon. Working with just 2 strands of wire to repair the circuitry. After careful soldering I took a long time measuring with the multimet...

Re: NetUSBee USB storage driver download

Finaly have it working. If the drivers complain about cookies use the attached zip. Also put in BigDos. First one in the autofolder must be cookie30.prg for example, read the txt for explanation. Then BigDos.prg and after that the Netusbee drivers in the right order. https://1drv.ms/u/s!Avq5N3rIv5eK...

Re: De-Soldering - Soldering disaster STE

Thanks Mark for tips on the repair. Some things like a very fine wire through the hole was also something I was thinking of. I examined the damage closely with a magnifier and think it's doable. Measurements with the multimeter show good results. Top of the board all seems well. Before I take this t...

De-Soldering - Soldering disaster STE

Hello all. Let me introduce myself first as this is my first posting. I am a Dutch Atarian from almost the beginning, my first was an 600XL around 1980 and played with it for a while. For I did not have a recorder for it all my staking basic-programming work was gone after I switched off. I traded i...

Re: NetUSBee USB storage driver download

O, one thing more. When booting and the storage driver loads, i get: 'Failed to get scsi drive cookie, no slots left, install a bigger cookie jar' . Searched everywhere how to do that but can not find a way to make the cookie-jar bigger. Maybe this is the culprit of not opening the drives? Thanks fo...

Re: NetUSBee USB storage driver download

Thank you for the efford. Is there need for an additional storage driver or is it self containded? I made 4 FAT partitions of around 230MB with Mini Partition Tool on Windows and I cannot open them on the STe with TOS 1.62 (Boot from floppy). When I open the HDDRUTIL.APP from the demo driver it list...
