Re: FX CAST Atari ST core

For these non-official-repository mister cores, I think the author will need different timings for the 128MB board. For his arcade cores, Jotego made a number of test builds with different ram timings for his cores and figured out the best timings by having some users with 128MB report which builds...

Re: Commodore 16 / Plus4 Core

Hello I just tried the new R-Type clone "Alpharay". Intro and start menu work - but unfortunately there are bad graphic glitches in the game. The game is from the same makers of "Pets Rescue". And it looks really good in the video. Is there a chance that it will run? Best regard...

Re: NeoGeo topic

Thank you for implementing the BIOS selection. I have to say, that I've never used the original BIOS yet, but for me MVS is not working. It shows "SYSTEM ROM ERROR". Any hints? Maybe MD5 / CRC32 or something like that would be good in the Wiki? Attached you can see my files. Are they okay?...

Re: NeoGeo topic

Is the original BIOS useful for something? Maybe a GUI (OSD) switch implementation would be better than a script.
I'm personally not interested in the original BIOS yet.

Re: NeoGeo topic

After the latest core update sometimes I loose sound on NeoGeo, this happens if I load a rom after another, or loading the NeoGeo core after other core. It solves doing a cold reboot. I am using toslink sound output Confirmed. Same. In Metal Slug 4 I get MVS "MT-Rom Error" in attract mode...

Re: Genesis Core

Tried cold rebooting but the rom was still loaded on the background, even playing sound. Powered off the DE10, problem solved. It's kind of random, I will try to reproduce it later. Do you have newest menu.rbf too? There was a bug fixed which was preventing booting / switching cores / go back to me...

NeoGeo Core

This topic is for NeoGeo FPGA Questions. The NeoGeo core is still WIP. But the last days were really impressive. Lovely! I just asked myself the question, to avoid a possible 128MB RAM module, if it would be possible to always stream/access one (1) C ROM from the SD card. I don't know the access spe...

Re: SDRAM board

By the way...if we have ~700mbit with 64MB SDRAM Module for NeoGeo and the biggest games have 706mbits...
...can't we just copy the sound ROM's to DDR3?
I think this will free up the left 6mbit's and I don't think that soundfiles/music needs high data throughput?

Re: Amstrad CPC Core

You can either load the CPC464 BASIC 1.0 ROM you can find in the repository to have full compatibility with tapes or you can write |tape to activate tape on CPC6128.

Re: MiSTer NES Core

I agree with you on that, Kitrinx. I would never have thought that in 2019 the databases would not be correct. Something else: Could it be done with the NES as with the Genesis that the file extension specifies the system if desired? .fds = Famicom / NTSC .nes = Nintendo Entertainment System / PAL ....

But why should one fix any headers when these above are the official verified romsets? I prefer original non modified sets.

Re: Commodore 16 / Plus4 Core

There is a small new minor bug.
When tape sound is turned on and you load a *.prg, there will be a high pitch tape sound for about 5 seconds.
Yellow led is also flickering for a while while loading .prg's.

Edit: With standard Kernel. With Jiffy there is no sound but yellow led is also flashing.

works fine About controllers: they are handled in Linux. The core cannot distinguish the controllers, so games too. So either you have problems with all cores on specific controller, or all work fine. I don't have any problems with my 360 controllers in any core just in this mentioned game and EU a...
