Re: MiSTer Case at shapeways (nylon plastic)

Finally received my new top case plus buttons : It perfectly works ! Closeup picture shows rough plastic like a piece of bread. How it feel - smooth polished or rough? Can you make more pictures where texture of surface/edges is visible? I've though the case should be smooth and pretty close to pre...

Re: MiSTer Case at shapeways (nylon plastic)

Thanks for asking. I guess I did not explain it too well. Look at the pictures below. You can see that the button size for the XS is way smaller than the size of the regular v52 case. The red prototype was the size of a regular v5.2 button not an XS version. But it works the same. 8) How to use it:...

Re: MiSTer Case at shapeways (nylon plastic)

I did the same treatment to the XS v5.2 model hosted on shapeways. So now buttons should be operational after a swift assembly process. Any comments or feedback is welcome as always :P https://www.shapeways.com/shops/negsol-design :P Comparing the prototype and the final 2-parts buttons i...

Re: MiSTer Case at shapeways (nylon plastic)

I already removed the tops with buttons from shapeways. Apparently shapeways uses some post processing algo that causes the fusion of independent parts. I know that thingiverse has a hub that brings together printers and non–printers. Use the „order this printed“ button to find out more https://www...

Re: MiSTer Case at shapeways (nylon plastic)

Thanks for sharing the pictures and your experience. About the buttons. They are designed to be moveable and are printed in place. The design worked well for FDM printers. The laser sinter method used by shapeways could cause same to be fused with the case. On the pictures it almost looks completel...

I have ordered a XS one and should receive it soon, so i will ...

Arcade Galaxian Core

Hi, This is a minor issue, and it could be i am the only one having it, but just in case : I have noticed the background starfield is scrolling way too fast compared to original arcade game. That's really not a big deal, but It hurts a little the nostalgia, since the core seems like to run perfectly...

Re: Joystick testing thread

It's known issue with X360 and PS3 gamepads. They produce a lot of input flood. I didn't test wired X360 gamepad, but i have PS3 gamepad and i confirm it's not a good option unless you connect it through 8bitdo receiver which filters all these frequent messages. Thanks a lot for clarifying this, It...

Re: Joystick testing thread

Read this topic first. X360 gamepad has been discussed already. So I real the entire topic, and (unless i'm blind) i did not see where the XBOX 360 (The wired PC version which comes with a USB adaptor - It looks like some kind of proprietary pseudo Din to USB adaptor) is mentionned. Of course i can...

Re: Joystick does not work when Nes core runs a game

Do not make a new thread if there already suitable topic exists. As suggested in Facebook, use joystick swap option in OSD. Some NES games use second joystick for input. Hi Sorgelid, Sorry for that and thanks for having moved my questions to the joystick testing thread. Yes, swapping the joypad wor...

Joystick does not work when Nes core runs a game

Hi, I'm currently trying to play Super Mario Bros 3 with NES core, but i can't make the joystick working : The joystick is recognized and i can configure it in both OSD menu and Nes core menu. However while in game, trying to use D-pad or clicking on defined buttons does not work at all. So basicall...
