Re: Lightning VME + (original) Apple USB Ethernet interface = Works

I thought people would like to know that after testing Lightning VME with the original (100M bit) Apple USB ethernet dongle I can report that it works fine, at least with UIP. I now at last have a working ethernet on my TT!!! (NetUSBEE doesn't work with my TT) Seeing that these devices are readily ...

F030 RTC/NVRAM replacement kit

I was lucky enough to get the last kit Black Cat Hardware had in stock for my 1993 vintage falcone, works nicely. However, I managed to get hold of another falcon last month. Added 68882, installed IDE2CF, and the last item on the list is the RTC/NVRAM. I wrote to Black Cat but he responded he hasn'...

Re: Lightning VME is here

Works like a dream, tested a usb mouse and a usb stick. Copied a partition image from SCSI to the usb stick using hddriver. However, with Lightning installed my TT memory board doesn't fit. I guess I have to buy Thunder&Storm as well... IMG_20180408_192902.jpg IMG_20180408_192843.jpg IMG_2018040...

Re: Lightning VME is here

This is correct -- right now there is no USB2LAN support under TOS. Someone would have to develop a STinG driver or similar, because the current driver requires the MiNT TCP/IP stack that (obviously) is not available under plain TOS. that means I will have to install MiNT in order to have network c...

Cyprian wrote:yep, but as I mentioned I'd like to copy ST data from any device (e.g laptop) into CosmosEx SD cart directly.

Not an issue, just make sure the SD card is formatted/partitioned in the right way to be readable by both your PC and ST (I use HDDRIVER for that).

Re: Lightning VME is here

The Lightning VME wouldn't be possible though without your work (among others) of bringing an USB stack to MiNT and TOS in the first place. Thank you! Thanks to all involved either directly or indirectly. I got one question - is there a way to use usb2lan ethernet connectivity under plain TOS? If I...

Re: CosmosEX 3.0

First embarassing NOOB question, would I perhaps also be able to link the device to any Atari PC's? Depends on what exactly you mean by "link". As you can switch the cosmosex device between ACSI and SCSI, the only thing you need in your Atari PC is a SCSI interface in order to get the ver...

Re: Lightning VME is here

This is awesome ! I just bought a Mega STe, I couldn't dream of a better way for transferring files ! Where can we buy this ? Is it compatible with Frank Lukas ET4000 adapter ? no idea about the ET4000 adapter, see here for details: http://wiki.newtosworld.de/index.php?title=Lightning_VME_USB_Inter...

Re: F030 - No drives found even if device detected

and are you seeing translated drives when CEDD driver is loaded ? bought an external SCSI enclosure with built-in power supply (instead of the 0.75A mobile phone charger I used before) and voila, works like a charm  Got my internal IDE/CF, SD in cosmo and a network drive on my NAS via cosmo...

F030 - No drives found even if device detected

I finally managed to connect my cosmo to my falcon via a SCSI enclosure (took my a year to get hold of a suitable cable/enclosure combo). HDDriver detects both SD and CE_DD devices on the SCSI bus, but there is no drive shown/detected, even though the SD card was formated/partitioned and is fully op...
