Re: Graphics tablet USB driver

This looks great, does it work with Quill, which was compatible with the original Wacom, and has pressure sensitivity built in iirc? Do you have such a tablet and is it USB? If so PM me and I can send you a test program. From my experience so far, Wacom tablets are very different in the reports the...

Re: VISION 4.6a is out!

Note that I plan to support the variable pencil size in Vision, in the next version of the USB tablet driver, by converting the pressure of the stylus on the tablet to CTRL-1 to CTRL-9.

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

Reading the Compendium, it seems that the cookie jar was always present, in all TOS versions. I run currently a 520STFM with TOS 1.04 and no JARnnn.PRG. I do need POOLFIX4.PRG before USB.PRG, or the latter crash (2 bombs). On my MegaST I used to run JARnnn.PRG, but that was to increase the jar size,...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

Update on the problem I found: Today I found two things: 1. On TOS 1, pressing the third button of the mouse crash the computer. This is possibly because it tries to emulate the ENTER keystroke, and that any keyboard keys work only with TOS 2 and above, just like the keyboard driver. I'll look into ...

Re: bigdos8 crash on ct60e

Hi, I use my netusb and have the following files in the autofolder: usb.prg > storage.prg > netusb.prg > bigdos8.prg It works great when I boot my Falcon030 in original 68030 mode. When I use it when running in 68060 mode bigdos crashed. Is there a fix or patch for bigdos8 or a working alternative ...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

Hmmm. Do you have Sting loaded and configured? Rename it .PRX and also rename SERIAL.CPX to SERIAL.CPZ in your CPX folder. Just in case it's the networking conflict with Sting, a known problem.

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

I just discovered that I can control two Atari (or a PC and Atari, or MAC and Atari, etc.) with one mouse. The Logitech M585 can control two computers. It has a 1-2 switch button. I used the Unifying software on the MAC, to assign to two different receivers each number (1 and 2), one at a time. Then...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

It's working on my Mega ST and 520STFM with TOS 1.04. Perhaps you need some TOS patches. On my 520STFM I needed POOLFIX4.PRG. On my Mega ST I also had POOLFIX4.PRG. Load these first in the AUTO folder. Another issue is to have your USB storage device partitioned for the Atari. Read the storage docum...

NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

Attached is the new package. What's new: Mouse wheel working for all mice. Tilting wheel left/right and side buttons now work (if wheel have those features). Mouse CPU usage reduced by up to 70% when idle. Keyboard CPU usage reduced by 50%. Storage transfer rate increased by up to 4%. New graphics t...

Re: Graphics tablet USB driver

I finished a first version of the driver. It was tricky to convert the absolute positions of the tablet to the relative needed by the mouse. New video: https://youtu.be/R2th1pdOAs0 It's already on FreeMiNT's repository, and I'll include it in the next package of the USB drivers in October I hope. I ...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers download

How about some sort of adaptive polling interval? Let's say if the mouse is static polling interval is set to something large, when it's on the move it gets smaller. For other, less real-time, peripherals longer delay wouldn't be such an issue perhaps? Thank you for your suggestion. I implemented a...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers download

The storage and printer drivers don't take CPU time when idle, because they don't poll . There is an exception in the storage driver, when a storage device with more than one LUN (like a card reader) is plugged there is a polling for cards hot-plugging. I already reduced the printer driver down to ...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers download

Something like that? - Start with 'long' polling delay, eg. 100ms (5x less than normal, eg. about 2% CPU usage instead of 10% on ST). - If mouse position changed, reduce polling to normal 20ms. - If mouse position doesn't change after 100ms, return to polling at 100ms. The storage and printer driver...

I'm not a hardware guy, but can the NetUSBee (or Lightning) IRQ line be used? So that only USB reports of a mouse change may be processed.

From NetUSBee documentation: Optional IRQ (interrupt) line to speed up transfers and give more CPU time to applications.

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers download

From the UIP thread: I did some benchmarks, on 68000 the mouse driver takes 10% of the CPU time, while on the 68030 Falcon, it's 5%. The worse case scenario is having the mouse and keyboard drivers, in addition to usbtool.acc, on a 68000, that resulted in a 21% slowdown of the CPU. I have noticed s...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers download

Ok, makes sense. Now, that leads to the question is there a way I can change it to double-click? There is no way for now. Maybe later, I will do a configuration CPX or app, allowing users to map the mouse buttons, and adjust the wheel scrolling sensitivity (this was reported by another user). What ...
