Re: CT60e, Not measuring up.

Horrible heading. People have to understand that this stuff is developed and produced on hobby basis. The buyer either have to have a good understanding of this, or spend his/her money on something else. It's not an expensive device, anyone who says so should try producing low volume electronics the...

Re: Gemdos $b (CCONIS)

The OS features properly buffered keyboard input. If you don't want that, you'll have to implement you own keyboard handler, either through the OS keyboardvectors, or by bypassing the whole shebang and implement your own IKBD handler.

Cconis() does what it's supposed to do.

Re: SuperVidel driver annoyances?

@Rustynut: Well, what you're trying to achieve have little or nothing to do with the SV drivers nor with the SV hw. The SV provides a compatible environment for VIDEL applications, but it does by no means provide the kind of hardware functionality you need for genlocking. It's not designed for that...

Re: CT60 Games

I might be wrong but it's possible it works better with SV because it's completely loaded in ST-RAM, in other words, it's highly TT-RAM unfriendly. ;-) So maybe SV's video buffer does wonders here but it feels strange, I was under impression that one has to 'OR' the video base address with 0xAA0000...

But finally these are only movieplayers with mpeg2 files (i could play them on my Windows machine with VLC). This is the dumbest thing I've read this year. So I guess I spent months just cutting videos in VirtualDub instead of porting the code, wow. Come on Mikro. Don't drag FACTS into this discuss...

Re: SuperVidel driver annoyances?

Genlock on the SV? Does not make sense at all. Why, how?

External sync + genlock would make sense on a stock VIDEL machine on RGB, but not on a SuperVidel setup.

Re: CTPCI not seeing Falcon IDE.

For me, this is where I encountered an issue as I have the SuperVidel which requires flash 1.03c. Added to this, even if Didier's flash v2.xx was SV-friendly, stacking the CTPCI+SuperVidel+EtherNAT on a CT63 means compromising on speed to make it stable. I'm not sure the SuperVidel strictly "r...

That is all I have ever used my falcon. But regardless of just the TT resolution support, there are some other nice things they added to the beta TOS, like color icons in the dialog boxes. I actually considered adding the TT video XBIOS to the SuperVidel drivers at one point, but judging by some no...

I'm unable to test it atm but I've been interested in this combo in the past (mint + Cubase).

I wonder about the technical details, and if there are any patches that can be made to MiNT itself to make it more MROS-friendly.

Could you share the technical stuff?

Ok, I found something, Ok it's Amiga OS 4, which I think is for PPC platform but... Can you discuss things without resorting to Google? Ever? No. AmigaOS4 doesn't implement memory protection as defined by any modern operating system. The architecture is still based on shared memory, and that shared...

Re: Overall strategy for hardware mods, upgrades, clones

There's no AOS library which implements memory protection as defined by any semi-modern operating system. It's simply not true. I don't know where it is. There are several discussions on the Apollo forum about of importance to implement a real 68K PMMU into Apollo. And in one of these discussions s...

Re: Overall strategy for hardware mods, upgrades, clones

There are also some other nice things. like lack of memory protection support There is alibrary which supports this. You only need to copy them to lib: (thats a file path which is created by ASSIGN by default if AMiga boots...) and it's enabled. This thing with the libraries is also a nice idea. Th...
