Re: SuperVidel soon?

I wish people would support the actual developers first. Nothing wrong with people who produce the hardware in question later on - quite the contrary - but the sacrifice made by developers are huge in comparison. Developers have to make prototypes, buy equipment and fail a couple of times. In the en...

Re: Falcon Speed (PC 286 Emulation Board)

16- and 256 colours are supported in Win 3.1 using special drivers (included on disk)

256 colours are supported in MCGA modes (e.g. as used by Monkey Island 1, which works on Falcon Speed 286).

The TOS4 VDI has support for 8bpp chunky and 32bpp TC.

My bad. I was sure I built it w. GCC and it worked right away (hence my suspicion about integer size...).

Re: Problem rebuilding Ray's lz77 utility with PureC

I contacted Ray, but he could not remember exactly how he compiled the file lz77.s (v1.3) in the archive. He thought he used an old gcc with the -02 option. However, it appears to be compiled PureC with a modified startup module after looking it over in a dis-assembler. It builds without any warnin...

Modecodes in decimal format is somewhat confusing imo. Would it be possible to add support for hexadecimal values ($), OL?

Re: TT030 VGA Monochrome

It is a fixed frequency monitor for 640x400@70Hz not exactly fixed, you can easily get different resolution in SM124 with Falcon and BlowUp application It's still fixed frequency, because BlowUp and AutoSwitchOverscan (on ST) are using just the black frame which is always drawn even on a standard S...

Re: EmuTOS 0.9.8

Int size with GCC is more problematic in structs. With 32bit GCC, even if struct has short int member, it will use long int there, which screws most of TOS APIs. But there are ways to overcome that, FreeMiNT&MiNTLib do that. That's proper C; struct packing isn't defined. You can use pragmas to ...

Horrible heading. People have to understand that this stuff is developed and produced on hobby basis. The buyer either have to have a good understanding of this, or spend his/her money on something else. It's not an expensive device, anyone who says so should try producing low volume electronics the...

Re: Gemdos $b (CCONIS)

The OS features properly buffered keyboard input. If you don't want that, you'll have to implement you own keyboard handler, either through the OS keyboardvectors, or by bypassing the whole shebang and implement your own IKBD handler.

Cconis() does what it's supposed to do.

Re: SuperVidel driver annoyances?

@Rustynut: Well, what you're trying to achieve have little or nothing to do with the SV drivers nor with the SV hw. The SV provides a compatible environment for VIDEL applications, but it does by no means provide the kind of hardware functionality you need for genlocking. It's not designed for that...

Re: CT60 Games

I might be wrong but it's possible it works better with SV because it's completely loaded in ST-RAM, in other words, it's highly TT-RAM unfriendly. ;-) So maybe SV's video buffer does wonders here but it feels strange, I was under impression that one has to 'OR' the video base address with 0xAA0000...
