Re: Request on 8 bit computer cores: NO-BORDER option?

ZX Spectrum (classic and Pentagon128) demo scene uses border for extension of multicolor effects from main screen. So border on Speccy is mandatory and part of its soul and charm.

Aladdin has huge slowdown with current core test ver13. Please, check it out. I've tested this game with cores ver6,9,10, 12 and gameplay plus demo mode were without additional frame rate loss. That must be present in upstream, too. Anyone can test it on MiSTer? If I only can compare and test both ...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

On the latest tests I notice some loss of precision in the noise generator, for example when the scene fades out/in on Chrono Trigger intro, I can hear something like a tailing ringing. Good hearing, DistWave. After comparison of captured sound from SNES with sound from cores ver6, 9, 10 and 12 I h...

SNES core ver6 on my MiST 1.3 from Lotharek: stable now, no need to reset games for correct loading, NTSC and PAL modes work via VGA on my LCD too. Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

If it works after resetting, then it could be the system state- sdram controller state difference, but it's hard to find the exact state synchronization needed, since all SNES components are running asynchronously to each other (and even the cycles lengths are dynamically changing). Exactly, it wor...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

I'm happy and highly positive about heroic adaptation of SNES core for MiST by Slingshot. I have MiST ver1.3 too, so I'm on the same symptoms page with user Sardine via recent SNES core test versions 4 and 5. By the way, version 5 doesn't load games at all on Lotharek's MiST 1.3. Games start and loo...

Hi Slingshot, I've just tested your new C64 core with OSD-switch of SID 8580|6581 via different music disks and tunes. I have to inform you that 8580R5 in this core sounds harsher and without appropriate depth than in Gehstock's core patched by Rayne with his SID8580R5 reimplementation from first po...

Re: New SID 8580 implementation for the C64 core

Just quickly compiled new SID. Yeah - that's really very similar to 8580 by timbre. Original one is close to 6581 which i personally like more. I think it would be good to have a switch between them. Or probably it's possible to use the same SID core with just different filters. Sorgelig , it's nic...

Are the files (in the root directory) from the „old“ CPC core not compatible? I don‘t understand: „place RBF and amstrad.rom into root of SD card“ and „Boot ROM has following structure: OS6128 + BASIC1.1 + AMSDOS + MF2 + OS664 + BASIC664 + AMSDOS + MF2“ i don't know what can be easier than just put...
