Re: MiSTer updates and changelog

Black Widow, Gravitar
- fixes peepsalot and slingshot. The text looks much better. Still room for improvement.

Re: Arcade cores

I can submit a github pull request if wanted. Wow -- it is much better. I pulled in your pull request, as well as fixed the clocks. Black Widow looks better. Gravitar seems to have a little too much persistence on some transitions. And the lines are still not as filled in as I think we would like. ...

Re: Arcade cores

I updated it to use the 12mhz clock. The 6mhz clock Signal was ignored and it was using the 25 which is messed up as well. 25 MHz for receiving the vector data also wrong. Notice you have two asynchronous clock domain: 12 MHz which generates (and receives) the vector data, and writes to the BRAM fr...

Re: Arcade cores

I tried changing the clock from 25 to 50, but it looked worse. I am trying the mist rasterizer, but i am having trouble with the dpram - it doesn't like OLD_DATA The problem is with the write_ram process, it should run at 12MHz, not 6. Actually the 6 MHz signal for the rasterizer should be 12 MHz. ...

Re: Arcade cores

The dotted lines issue seems to be also related to this normalization code. I tried a build without normalization at all, and got pure clean lines, but it only had time to draw a few per frame. The dotted lines are there because of the rasterizer works only at half rate (at least on MiST, that was ...

Re: Arcade cores

https://youtu.be/CroIdhD3veE That's what I see. I thought maybe VGA worked good or my settings were messed up. Oh well, there will be problems when it comes to this retro stuff and that's just how it goes. Guess I will have to be content with the bazillion other arcade cores. :) Yep. Have done but ...

Re: Arcade cores

I looked at black widow and noticed this also. I don't think it's a scaler thing. There are some letters(B and G iirc, maybe others) that end up offsetting all following letters. I think maybe the end position of the vectors has an off-by-one error that gets accumulated or something similar. Possib...

Re: XIN-MO Arcade Controller - Compatibility

I use a similar Xin-Mo board in my bartop arcade, using a generic PC instead of a RPi, and I have to use similar kernel parameters at boot time. I'll test the board with MiSTer and will post the results. That would be GREAT!!! ty Sorg accepted a pull request to fix the dual joystick. It requires a ...

Re: Has the HT1080z/TRS80 Model I core been ported from mist? (not coco)

I've just sent a pull request with a minor update to the keyboard code. - The 'CLEAR' key is used by many games, but was mapped to the 'keypad 7' key on the PS/2 keyboard (I use a keyboard on MiSTer without a keypad). - Added some comments in that file to make PS/2 key <-> TRS-80 key mapping more o...

Re: Arcade cores

I'm fascinated by vector arcade games, and I know there are cores already for Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, and Lunar Lander. What would it take to get some of the other Atari vector arcades running, such as battlezone, tempest, red baron, star wars, etc.? I've been researching how the hardware work...

Re: Arcade cores

I've been editing the Arcade Wiki over the past day or so, I so hope that I'm not trampling on anybody's feet by doing that. Nothing major just trying to ensure that the correct names are showing and to also ensure that all the additional games that are available to play on each core are listed whe...

I only get a background starfield and nothing else.

All other arcade cores are running with no problems.

Re: Arcade cores

Thank you for the update of your Super Bagman core. Is there a particular reason why the md5-attribute is called "amd5" in the mra file? Typo of course.... the md5 are no longer valid. I used another function ("repeat" to fill unused space instead of loading unused Roms) in the ...

Basilisk patches a bunch of traps and installs drivers to get almost all the features working. I would like to keep my days of writing 68k software behind me. I am thinking if we can get fetch working it might be the best solution. Because it expects to connect to a Unix server. It will try to do t...

Ash added a second vhd support. I need to check on it. I think serial (and therefore ppp) is the next most important thing. Any better way to get files on it would be great.
