Hey, AtariX is very cool indeed! Just installed it and have been playing with it.

Any way to change key bindings? My "y" key produces a "z", and vice versa... 8O

Always a pleasure having you around here, mf... I do have some assembler code from Notator that Gerhard gave me when I was asking about how to address the additional MIDI outputs from the Log3, but I never got it working (and he had forgotten how it worked, by then, also... ) It's pre...

Re: The Sound of Belgium documentary

The main software used back then would be Cubase & Creator/Notator on the Atari ST, Performer on the Mac and later Opcode's Vision. There were plenty of others - KCS, SMPTETrack and Mastertracks Pro were all powerful and capable systems. Other systems had good apps too - KCS was on most systems,...

Re: Atari and Music.

A quick update - for the people that like the music/software ads, I've now added the advert search function on mu:zines, so you can now search, for example all Notator ads, or Cubase ads. Some examples: - C-Lab Software Sequencer ads: http://www.muzines.co.uk/ads/10/38/0 - All Sequencing Software: h...

Re: The end of Calamus: invers Software closes on March 31, 2018

Sad news. Calamus was amazing back in the day, and me and a friend used to run a small local DTP business using 1.09n and then SL... I hope one day someone will tell the whole Calamus behind-the-scenes story, I'm quite interested in the rise and development of Calamus, and all the times it changed h...

Re: Good Setup For Magic 6?

You can just download the archive of Beekey, look inside the folder casper... There is a file named filesystem.squashfs it's like a .zip and inside you have the config file of aranym & the partitions... Just extract them and put on your Aranym... Ok, I have done this and have this system up and...

I have Aranym running with emutos, I'm just struggling partitioning the created blank disk image (my ICD tools driver won't work, Cecille doesn't partition the drive, I'm now looking for SCSI tools to see if that will work... Bit of a learning curve, all this ;) ) I'll check out the other suggestion...

Good Setup For Magic 6?

I'm trying to find a good setup for a fast, colour productivity environment (programming, graphics/DTP etc) I have replicated my old mono STE + Magic 2 + Gemini environment which works great, but I'm looking to extend this with a nice fast colour setup (TT or Falcon, 16 or 256 colour, larger desktop...

Thanks for the link! @I did not know that Emagic/C-Lab Notator (Logic) was developed by Dr. Gerhard Lengeling, former Steinberg programmer! Re: New Scans - ST World, ST Applications, Calamus User

One of my favorite ST mags. I have almost all issues. It would be great to get these scanned for the community, as they seem pretty rare - good to know that people still have them, before this stuff is lost forever. What part of the world are you in? The UK? The timing's not great for me right now ...

New Scans - ST World, ST Applications, Calamus User

Hey guys, Here are some scans of some of my old Atari stuff that aren't already online elsewhere. ST World, No 53, 1990 (122 MB) (It was a great magazine, ST World, shame there aren't many of these available online). ST Applications, No 39, March 1994 (57 MB) Calamus User was an independently publis...

Re: Atari and Music.

It’s all databased in a custom-built CMS. Each issue has a publication, year, month etc, each article is tied to a given issue, articles have different types, and metadata (like synths or drum machines, or a topic, or an artist etc etc), and other things. So if you search for articles in the “80s”, ...

Re: Atari and Music.

Very impressive site and archive! Thanks! It really was a golden age for the Atari ST, I bought mine firstly for MIDI (C-Lab Creator) but then did *everything* else with it - DTP (Calamus), programming (GFA Basic) - I wrote some MIDI programs too. I'm also ad tagging everything as well (though this...
