Re: Toyota Celica GT Rally on the Falcon?

I found it fixed for the falcon, 16MHz works fantastic! Like 99% of them. I did try Wrath of the Demon, and it works best with cpu at 8Mhz and blitter at 16MHz! Most of the 3D polygon/vector stuff desperately needs a faster computer, and a Mega STE or Falcon at 16Mhz works well.

Toyota Celica GT Rally on the Falcon?

I found and loved Toyota Celica GT Rally on my ST, the only thing was a slow frame rate, I figure this game would be a prime candidate for a Falcon speed-boost, but I can't find any "fixed" versions of the game. Is the ST game directly compatible with the Falcon? http://www.youtube.com/wat...

Ishar 1 & 2

Are there falcons versions of Ishar 1 & 2 that use 256 colors? Do the original ST versions manage more than 16 colors? I thought I remembered playing a bit of Ishar 1 on my ST/STE's a few years ago, and the graphics were good, very good, but they still seemed to be using 16 colors at a time. I'v...

Re: Stardust on Falcon?

Well then, this hack must be for stuff like 16Mhz and cache or VGA or something like that. I haven't tried it yet myself because I have to split up the zip file to fit across 1.44MB disks at the moment. The irony is I got my 100MB Zip drive working on the Falcon to transfer large files, and then fou...

Yeah, I expected Steel Talons to be better, really, the Lynx version has a better frame-rate! Seriously. But you are right, it is still playable.

Re: Stardust on Falcon?

D-bug has a Falcon "fixed" version on this page: http://dbug.kicks-ass.net/patch.php

I guess it was STE only with no Falcon improvements.

Re: Stardust on Falcon?

I always thought it was made to run on both the STE/Falcon, with improvements on the Falcon, like Zero 5. I was planning on getting it for my Falcon.

GRAVON; why so sluggish?

I've been interested in Gravon since the 90's, and knew it would be a game I wanted for the Falcon, should I ever get one. Well, I finally got a Falcon, and now I have Gravon (downloaded from a french Falcon site), and I like the game, well, I still have to get used to the sluggish controls (I reall...

Re: Another Falcon 030 owner

Congrats, on your Falcon, and more upgrades than mine! I still gotta upgrade to 14MB, I have no idea if a coprocessor is installed, I never thought to look. Is there any way to know if I have a co-processor installed or not? Are we referring to a 68881/2? Or something else? Run one of the diagnosti...

I need help installing SCSI drive

I have a ZIP drive now connected to the SCSI port of my Falcon, I ran HDX (Atari Advanced Hard Disk Utility) and the computer recognized the Zip drive, I formatted it and partitioned it. My problem is when I install drive icons on the desktop, and double click, it just says drives do not exist. So, ...

Re: Crow of Creation - Falcon

This is something I'm interested in getting. I've drooled over the description at 16/32 systems for years, hoping to buy a copy if I ever got a Falcon. Now I finally have a Falcon and there are no more left to buy? Also, I've been a bit confused by this thread, am I to understand that even the relea...

Re: New Falcon owner

Lol gunstar, dark willow is correct, it's a USB floppy drive emulator. 8O I am amazed that the price of such devices have dropped by so much. Back in 2009 we were talking about this, and they cost around USD$100-250 each. http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=16761 (this is just one o...

Replaces the floppy drive and is plug and play. Not too expensive either.

So, just show and no tell? How about telling us what it's called and where one can be purchased?

Re: New Falcon owner

If you have a conputer with a parallel port, then use ParCP. You can use a LapLink cable or make your own fast bi-Di cable. The demo version is limited to only displaying the first 10 objects in a directory but you can work around this very easily. Yeah, I do have parallel ports on the PC, I though...

Re: New Falcon owner

I know I mentioned using 720k disks for the moment unless you have a special falcon, you should be using 1.44MB floppy. At least half your time needed to xfer files. Not if all I have is 720k disks! :? I'm new to the Falcon guys, not computers. I know the basic specs of the Falcon too, I'm just not...

Btw you do not need cdr for transferring files: you can buy two ide2cf adapters and have two cf card! One for falcon system and files and other for transferring from pc! Re: New Falcon owner

Best Electronics is were I always go first. And yes, after just a few days of downloading I'm quickly having to run out of space and scouring the partitions to delete unwanted stuff. I will definitely be upgrading to a CF card soon, and 14meg ram upgrade as well. I also desperately need a CDR drive ...

Congratulations on scoring a Falcon - that's difficult enough these days. :) I know. I've been "looking" for 20 years, found a few, but only when I didn't have the money to buy. What are they selling for these days anyway? Then I decided to try a different tactic; bug a friend about givin...

Hello everyone, I've been a member here for a while, though I haven't been around for a few years as my ST/STE's were sold or are broken. But I recently acquired a Falcon, so I'm back. Many of you probably know me from AA or JS2. I am pretty much a total newbee with the falcon, it's been years since...

TOS 2.x has proper hardware detection and configuration, so it will work on plain STs. Well, I have RAINBOW on a normal, 520STFM and it ...
