Re: TT high res on SVGA?

As far as I know, stimpy has made something to use a TT with a normal PC monitor: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=13860
Haven't heard anything since then, unfortunately :(

Re: Incompatible IDE devices -- it is possible?

I'll send it to you... It's another file on the receiving end of one of Sandisk's purges with them throwing their legal weight around. Similiar situation to the SD card specifications.. You can get it, but it's hidden away in the furthest corners of the Internet. I have the same problem with both a...

Experiment S survey

On http://www.experiment-s.de/en there is a survey about the future of Suska3 :) It seems like the board will be priced around 270-390 euro, depending on how much expansion and compatibility is wanted. I'd like to hear what the interest for an fpga-atari is here :D Personally, i'm very interested, m...

But it does have that little whiny 4cm fan? And I never had any heating problems with it before.
Maybe the cause is somewhere else? Could the metal cover have something to do with it?

It seems that when I put off the (plastic+metal) casing and put the PSU away from the motherboard, it keeps going :s ? I have been playing "chuckie egg" for 15min now and still completely stable :)

Mega ST2 overheating?

I have some weird issue with my mega2. First after about 15-20 minutes, now after a few minutes already (of gaming or using a program), it just spontanously reboots. The screen flickers white and it starts reading from the floppy again, then it flickers again and it keeps doing so until you turn it ...

I'm about halfway my part now :) After a while it gets easy because the wrongly detected parts are always the same. Especially the array-brackets seem to confuse FInereader.

Re: NetusBee?

You can't. The ROM Port is readonly and requires special tricks on the address encoding to fake write access. Actually the NetUSBee with parallel BUS conenction is already pretty slow, I think performance will degrade even further if you add some serial protocol (whatever you want t o use) inbetwee...

Re: NetusBee?

Maybe it would be cheaper/easier to make a version based on the Microchip ENC28J60? Using the ENC28J60 in NetusBEE would be more complicated, because it uses SPI as the communication interface - it would require another chip which would convert the ROM port signals to SPI interface. The used RTL801...

Re: NetusBee?

I am thinking once I have time on my hands around Jully/August I will start selling cut down versions. They will be cheaper and only do Networking. They will use the same PCB though, so can be sent back for the USB upgrade when more drivers are available. Stimpy, I would like to build one myself, b...

Re: WANTED: Profibuch or ST Internals

A short overview for all interested readers: Book scanned to page 800 in 400dpi, greyscale and saved as jpg with low compression. The size of all pictures is 465MB so far, which looks very big, but OCR will work somewhere between good and very good with this high quality. There are 2 possible ways ...

Re: GLUE delay times

I don't think that concrete chip delay times are so relevant by designing some FPGA clone. What they need is cycle-accurate implementation. With modern, fast components delay times usually aren't problem. That's true, but once you know the cycles, you also know the delay :) Edit: now that I think o...

Re: GLUE delay times

As I see, GLUE chip by address decoding has relative big delay times, I assume in range about 30-50 nS. Any info about it ? Can someone measure it with logic analyzer ? For instance delay between /AS and some ROM line activating when addressing ROM ? P.S. STE has less delays by addr. decoding. You ...

Tranlation would be a really hard job. The book is full of german wordplays, because they tried to present a difficult material in an interesting way.
