Re: TT SCSI Not Working

Turns out there's a bodge wire bypassing a damaged SCSI bus trace on the board that came loose. It should work again once I repair it.

TT SCSI Not Working

My TT just up and decided not to read any SCSI devices the other day and I'm not sure what's going on. I've tried two different SCSI2SDs and even an old SCSI hard drive that I found. HDDRIVER doesn't recognize any of them, saying No Device for SCSI ID 0. Tried reseating the cable, the external port ...

Re: Nova and MyAES

No luck with TT-Medium and MyAES...

I just realized I have 2MB of ST-RAM. Does MyAES require 4MB? I've run into that with a few things. (I have 256MB of TT-RAM.)

Nova and MyAES

I just installed a Nova+ET4000 in my TT and got it working great at 1024x768x256. I want to get MyAES 0.97 going with it now so I can have a pretty desktop to show off. I copied the 68020 distribution of MyAES into my GEMSYS folder as the readme file says but MYAES020.PRG crashes with a bus error af...

Re: XBOOT and TT

Hmm, I’m pretty sure that’s what I downloaded. I have a dead RTC battery in my TT and the date comes up as a garbage string too long for the little GEM text box. I think that’s what the problem is. I think I have some 3.6V batteries left over from repairing a Mac so I’ll see if they’re the right kind.

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

The NE2000 has a MAC address but I haven’t tried using it to connect to my network in a while. I redid my home network and never got around to updating the STING config. I didn’t have any problem connecting to my network before. I’ve also heard that USB doesn’t work on a TT without a powered hub plu...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

I have a TT with 3.06 and the NetUSBee won't detect any USB devices with the driver installed. I've tried a couple different storage devices (flash cards, SD card reader, even a Vita) and can't get even a grayed-out USB device to appear. I get the root hub in the device list. It redraws the list whe...

XBOOT and TT

I'm trying to set up XBOOT III on my TT running TOS 3.06. It crashes with two bombs when I create a new set. I seem to remember there being a patched version that fixes this, being some kind of timestamp problem? I looked it up on here but found a bunch of conflicting info and a patched version that...

Quick NVDI Unicode support question

Does NVDI 5's Unicode implementation support the SMP characters (U+10000-U+1FFFF)? I can't tell if the 16-bit VDI functions take UTF-16 or just straight 16-bit character index codes.

I remember I removed the shareware prompt.
What version have you got ?

Guillaume.

I have version 3.6E.

I'm also trying to find GlueSTiK, its homepage seems to have disappeared as well.

Re: Couple TT hardware questions (UltraSatan, TOM, and NetUSBee)

Hijacking my own thread, but I’m trying to get MiNT running on the TT. I’m having some trouble with it. I extracted the latest MiNT beta to my boot drive (a 512MB BGM partition) and put mint030.prg in my AUTO folder along with NVDI 5. It gets as far as starting XaAES (I have no desktop set up in the...

Couple TT hardware questions (UltraSatan, TOM, and NetUSBee)

My TT arrived and I'm very happy. I have an UltraSatan hooked up to the ACSI port for now. I've also got a NetUSBee cartridge and a TOM+ USB mouse adapter. If I have the TOM+ plugged in when I power up the TT, the keyboard no longer works. It gets power (the TOM lights up) but neither the keyboard o...

68K piggyback socket

I have an exxos 16MHz CPU upgrade and a 1040STF. I really don’t want to risk damaging the board with a bunch of heating cycles from desoldering a 64 pin DIP and soldering in a socket. I have a bunch of 64-pin wire wrap sockets with really long legs. Will an exxos upgrade PCB work piggybacked onto th...
