I wonder if you'll make a pdf now, to ensure its preservation?

Re: The Obligatory 'Introduce Yourself Thread'...

Hello, all. I'm an Atari ST newcomer looking to expand my US-centric (MS-DOS + console + a tiny bit of Amiga) view of classic computing and retrogaming. A couple of YouTube videos caught my eye and here I am. I hope to learn a lot, have some fun and explore the new world that is Atari computing. Co...

Re: Get images from pc to DEGAS+?

This isn't an option for me. I only see a list of filetypes to save as, and all are selected. I've got XNViewMP, is that the right program? Otherwise I'll simply try to use the commandline program again, as that worked out last time. :) Huh, I found it now. It wasn't there when I checked on my lapt...

Re: My compositions made in MaxYMiser!

Here's a new tune! This one was rather experimental, but I do really like how it turned out. Do check out the YouTube video, as I'm rather happy with what I made in DEGAS Elite for this one. ;) Out of Tune Featuring Doorbell, Big Ben and Nokia Video Download (same link as always, if it gets too clut...

Can't find Degas+ manual

Hello guys, I was looking for the manual to DEGAS Elite, and I'm sure I used to have a scan of it I found online, but I can't find it anymore. I haven't got it on paper either. Can someone help me out?

Re: Question(s) about MaxYMiser

I figured it out! You need to create an instrument that's got 000D for the mix. (D standing for DigiDrum)

Re: Question(s) about MaxYMiser

Hey, you can use DigiDrums on the first three channels as well, right? There's an FX command for it, and you can also specify a sample to use for an instrument. However, I can't get the samples to sound. Does anyone know how to do this? :)

Re: How to copy multiple files at once?

I think my diskettes are formatted fine. I just did format A: /T:80 /N:9, and I've copied over several files succesfully. :)
I'll check out Kobold, thanks.

Re: How to copy multiple files at once?

By the way: there's a file which I successfully copied onto my diskette, and I can see the file in Windows, with the correct size. However, when I try to copy it from the diskette onto another disk, it says the file is corrupt. Is there any chance I can get the program off the floppy disk anyway, an...

How to copy multiple files at once?

Hey! I'm trying to create back-ups of my parents' files. However, at every single file, we need to insert disk A, then insert disk B. Is it possible to copy multiple files into RAM at once, and only then insert disk B again?

Re: Eliminator Piano Cover

Good job! Eliminator is one of my favorite ST games and the music is underrated, thank you for your arranged piano  Have you considered doing the ingame music also? I have to admit, I only played a few minutes of the game and then gave up, as a kid. :P The title theme always stuck with me, ...

Eliminator Piano Cover

Hi, it's me again! I decided to create a new topic for this... I do piano covers sometimes (in fact, almost all the time, but I don't often take the time to actually finish, record, and upload what I learn), and yesterday I uploaded a cover I'm quite proud of! It's of the Eliminator theme! I hope s...

Re: CPU Clock Speed?

No, I have been speedrunning Prince of the Yolkfolk from time to time, as I still really enjoy that game, but regularly beating it isn't of any challenge anymore. ;) I've set up rules and categories for the game on https://speedrun.com. So far nobody has challenged my times; someone did submit a tim...

Re: CPU Clock Speed?

I think I'll require people to use 8 MHz when using an emulator, as it seems like that's the standard. :)
And if someone's using a real Atari ST, and the CPU Clock Speed happens to be at 16 MHz or higher... well, I hope it won't be too much of an issue.

CPU Clock Speed?

(I wasn't sure where to post this.) I was just looking into optimising a speedrun, and I discovered that if I put the CPU Clock Speed from 8 MHz to 32 MHz, screens load faster. But I'm not sure if I should allow this. How does CPU Clock Speed work? Is 8 MHz the standard? In DOSBox, I did up the amou...

Re: Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk ROM

It's just that your 2 floppy drives - 1 in PC, other in Atari, can not read reliable what other drive wrote. I recommend that you open them and do cleaning - from dust with some small brush. Then clean heads with little alcohol. If that helps not, drive replacement may be necessary. Hm, seems plaus...
