Re: MIST C64 core

Yeah, it would be nice (EAR IN without more additional components, but I'm not sure if it would work or not...) You can ignore the motor control, and start/stop playback manually, but the button sense must be connected (controlling from OSD like with TAP files is enough, but handling both manually ...

Re: MIST C64 core

@Drog loading from external audio is possible via UART_RX using a small external circuit (or internal if you have the "MiSTica" clone). But of course it needs to be supported by the cores.... I know that, I have built this circuit myself, and used with success in case of Spectrum and Amst...

Re: MIST C64 core

I suspect no real 'ear in' support so far... Tried it with an ideal .wav (see attachent), generated from .prg file using wavprg & audiotap combo. But nothing happens after the 'press play on tape' message if I choose the 'Play/Stop TAP' menu option, I assume it would have effect only If I have b...

Re: Mist and an audio input... is it possible?

Hi! Still playing around with the EAR connector, this time tested the Amstrad core, works flawless with my current setup (iPhone4 connected directly to 3,5"jack)! I found dozens of CDTs floating around the net, but finding a software which runs on recent Win OS that converts them to WAV was not...

Re: Atari800 .com files

According to the core's official manual .COM files are not supported. .ATR, .CAR, .XFD and .XEX files can be loaded:

Try to download the files in another (supported) format or convert them.

Re: Atari 2600 / VIC 20

A friend of mine started very recently to study Verilog and VHDL, and added in the Vic20 core the ability to read an audio file (for now) from the Mistica EAR port, his goal would be to become expert enough to add full support for TAPs (including the various Datasette keys) in the C64 core. He rele...

Re: Mist and an audio input... is it possible?

Yes, it provides the EAR input, but I think the quality of the recording wouldn't be that good. I could load things via a phone set to the maximum volume (you should hear this on the Speccy's normal sound output, too). Just I didn't understand what's the connection of the Speccy's mod to MiST. You ...
