Re: Looking for help of a game connoisseur

The other game featured some chef (maybe) that would use a cast with what looked like a hipopotamus as a bait for creatures that would be underneath, I don't remember if the hipopotamus could shoot something at them, or how you would stop them from climbing up, but these, let's say reptiles, would ...

I thought this was a joke! How on earth did you manage to plug a 13 pin DIN connector the wrong way round? The shielding has a Marker on the upper side and at least some pins won't find a hole when upside down. Didn't they bend / break???

Re: Early Atari 520 ST Tos 1.00 Upgrade with external Gotek.

The Gotek has pin 1 on the connector on the opposite side than a 'normal' floppy drive. And the Jumper for drive select should be set the same as on the original drive. Don't know if it is ds0 or ds1 in the external Atari drives.

Re: STE issue: works in B/W hi res but not TV or colour monitor output

If there is a fault on this input circuit, the computer will only work in the high resolution mode. Pin 4 has to be grounded to switch the machine to monochrome hi-res. The 'circuit' for this is in the monitor plug: pin 4 and pin 13 shorted. So, I can't imagine a Situation where pin 4 would interna...

Retropie is also only a Raspbian... But if you are using first generation CosmosEx you probably have Yocto instead of Raspbian based software. Could be a Problem... Get yourself another micro SD card, put Raspbian based CE software on it, Stick in your Bluetooth Dongle, ssh into your CE and perform ...

Did you twist the floppy cable for the Gotek? The connector on that device is turned 180 degrees compared to Atari floppy drive.

Re: CosmosEx and Bluetooth PS3 Controller

Which Version of PI do you have in your CE? At least since PI 3B there is integrated Bluetooth.
And the (latest) CE software is Raspbian based.
So, just try it out, I suggest.

Re: Hatari MIDI support

I have tried it on Raspbian with not very good results. Didn't ran into the problems you have, but the performance of the PI 3B with my M-Audio USB MIDI interface was very bad. Lots of lost MIDI events. I think the shared USB Port of the PI is the bottle neck.

Look at the picture: it's an STFM, so it has a built in modulator, and it's a german keyboard layout, so it is PAL.

Re: Empty bootable 256MB hard disk image for using with MiST/Atari ST core

And you know a program for handling these HDD disk images (for windows). I would like to copy a catalog created on a PC for this HDD image. Easy way is to use this HDD image in Hatari together with a gemdos drive linked to your Windows Filesystem and copy the files over in the emulated Atari Desktop.

I'm guessing the mod is in a more modern file format that is not recognised by this ProTracker version. Can anyone point me to a working version or to some tools to convert the file format? Got it! Yeah! I found a copy of ProTracker 2.1 here: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=50030 That version i...

Re: Gotek having A: and B: with same content

Any idea how to change that? I'd be fine with A: only but of course if it's possible to simulate both of them (slot 1 = A:, slot 2 = B:), I'd be even happier. With unmodified Gotek the disk change isn't correctly detected on the Atari because of their somewhat strange implementation in hardware. Lo...

Considering the fact that I have to twist the floppy cable and the power cables needs to go to the other side you see my problem. My floppy cable wasn't longer than yours. Just twist it, you will see that it get's not much shorted . And making an extension for the power cable isn't that complicated...

What I wanted was mainly a system with higher resolution in color, more CPU speed and more RAM, capable of doing real multitask...
