Re: Animated gif player/software

I made a GIF viewer which plays Animated GIFs : http://nanard.free.fr/atariST/show_gif_20171218.zip https://github.com/miniupnp/AtariST/tree/master/show_gif Thank you very much! It is an excellent job. Feel free to send me some .GIF which don't display correctly :) resolution must be maxim...

I have this in the "error.log" file: "Useless GFX_SetPalette() call" (happens a lot)

that's a warning message.
It looks like the original Dune II game had some minor bugs ;)

Re: Dune II / OpenDUNE for Falcon (and TT)

I have optimized screen refresh (which need a c2p...) and fixed some bugs. That should benefit to 16Mhz Falcon users

Re: Best Practices - CosmosEX Mini

@DrWoo: Why don't you use FAT/FAT32 formatted USB sticks (translated mode on the CosmosEx) ?
It works well.
Avoid too much file in the same directory, and too much directory levels

Re: Powering options for the CosmosEX Mini/MicroCosmos?

Indeed the location of the miniUSB connector on the minicosmos should be revised in future versions.
It could be placed near the on/off switch, there is plenty of space there

Re: CosmosEx - SLM Printer Emulation

I have started to code a "simulated SLM" but haven't succeeded to get it detected by the ST tools
I really need someone with access to a real SLM.
I will send "dump" tools to dump the SLM responses to ACSI commands

Well I never used a CDROM on atari. What is the point in emulating CDROM vs using a translated drive? I mean is there any application needing a CDROM?

Re: CosmosEx - SLM Printer Emulation

I have working SLM 804, but drum kit is bad, so it basically prints, but allmost no toner on paper. But I would need to set it up, it's stored deep in my collection and it needs a lot of space to setup a test environement. Does the Linux 68K code linked above does not help in this question? I've tried CosmosEx with a 1.00TOS 1040STF and it works well. At least with translated drives (USB sticks)
I think the 1.00 bugs will matter when using SD-Cards + a HD driver

Re: Maybe HDDriver 10.0 doesn't work with CosmosEX v2

that could be, we need to investigate, that's why the HDDriver author need to be contacted.
as far as I know, HDDriver 10.0 is the only driver with this "ICD extension detection bug"
and what's is very specific is that upon rescan it's working

Re: Maybe HDDriver 10.0 doesn't work with CosmosEX v2

when you reboot, it doesn't detect the ICD extension :
https://youtu.be/7-C-SgGBKBI?t=3m9s

when double clicked on PRG it detects :
https://youtu.be/7-C-SgGBKBI?t=17s

It think that is the issue
Without ICD extension, disk size is limited to 1GB
