Re: ao486: what do you use to transfer files?

Anyone still using vmount to mount VHDs as rootfs for fie transfer? I tried it with the latest build and now only get errors: /media/fat/games/ao486# ./vmount /media/fat/games/ao486/DATA.VHD partition: none, disk: /media/fat/games/ao486/DATA.VHD, lower: 0, upper: 0 Trying to use '/dev/loop10' for th...

I never got it running for DOOM or DOOM2. My guess is that softmpu is not compatible with the way doom handles memory.

If that's the case, isn't SoftMPU required? yes - SoftMPU is required always The only think I see is you are using QE...

Re: How long will they last?

That is not how FPGA work internally. May I recommend to check out FPGA explanation videos like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUsHwi4M4xE -- In a nutshell (how I understand it) - It is mostly lookup tables that are configured from rom (sd-card in MiSTer terms). So no shortened life to be...

I have similar vertical bars on Doom2.
Still - I am very happy with the core - really great work! Thank you!

I have the same issue with Tazmania as NML32. Whenever I move the joystick in any direction the level is an instant win. Joystick buttons can be pressed and work without winning :)

Thanks for the great cores though!

...Besides the traditional mp3, you can play MOD (including many variations from PC trackers), VGM and MIDI(using fluidsynth). So it's pretty much convenient solution. Since you already have MiSTer connected, why don't let it be a player? Some people let the MiSTer run the whole day hanging just in...

Underside is a side, too :-)

I like the idea of being able unplug it easily - also because there could be other sidecar boards in the future. Or maybe not :P

Re: C64 Core

C64_20190415.rbf works now. I had an FS problem with the SD-Card. Maybe this resulted from using an update script and ftp in parallel. So pro tip: make sure the FS on the SD-Card is consistent and be careful not to write ftp while using script.

Re: USB Hub board

I will upload step files with new USB hub. Regarding USB bridges - they don't affect the case design i think. You just need to provide 2 holes for microUSB. Or common long hole if gap between PCB and case is too big. I don't have 3d model for no-name microUSB male connector. Great news! Maybe the c...
