Re: CosmosEX 3.0

Hopefully he's feeling better! Hell, if they're 3D printing all the cases, he should give the option just to ship the board with an emailed STL, I can print my own case, and wouldn't mind printing some for other people that needed them.

Re: Crown of creation test:

I would totally create a game. If I had an engine, an artist, a coder, and sound engineer. Okay, so that'd leave me with coming up with the idea and writing the plot, etc. But I could do that :) Well, you know what to do then, don't let us down! Truly though, if we could get together some people, I...

At which point we could have a 3d engine for the falcon and make new games? :P When you finish yours of course. I would totally create a game. Re: SuperVidel DVI connection

I have the dual VGA/DVI cable on mine, still doesn't have a good way to get out of the case though, so my lid has been off forever. Would have been nice if they'd put a mini DVI port on it.

Re: Crown of creation test:

It's pretty much what mikro said - personally I find the game quite meh otherwise I'd have deprotected it ages ago. One doesn't even have to play the game - just static disassemble the binary, identify the DSP code, disassemble those bits, analyse, patch, done. It's not rocket science really. But.....

Ethics for software that is more than 20 years old is more like 'we should preserve it for future generations and get the source code' :)

Gonna have to get me one of those. Still prefer the TT's case over the Falcon's.

Yeah, the model doesn't have the other side with just bars. But it builds out pretty sturdy.

Re: Nova eGPU

You printed the sides with the logo vertically? Achievement unlocked: Ultra Hell Mode Ha, only one of them, was part way through the print when I was like "I really shouldn't have done that..." but that side does look amazing. sometimes when they are flat it leaves a slight texture to them.

Re: Nova eGPU

So I've been printing this, and it's almost done, but I need to remember to NOT print things like this upward, because then the supports for it are bigger than the actual print.
Also, is it intended to print the two Nova logo things twice, for each side? Kind of looks that way.

Re: Nova eGPU

Hmm, my idea would be to design one that sits on top of the TT/Mega STe, and works like a monitor stand, so you don't have a box just sitting there behind the computer. Though I guess you'd still h ave the VGA cable coming out the side of the box and into the screen. Also would depend on how big the...

Re: TTOS BLUE (TOS version 3.00)

Kind of curious now, since if I recall correctly, the TT was released a few years before the Mega STe, and I think the Mega STe was the first system released with TOS 2.x? So did they actually release TOS 3.x before they released TOS 2.x? This version kind of shows that they did. There was only a g...

I don't know if anything will come of this but James Boulton aka SainT who recently released his JaguarSD adapter mentioned on Twitter an interest in devloping an FPGA based ISA GFX card. He's been trying to resurrect an Atari PC3. I did reply and remind him about the Nova and TT/MSTe. That would b...

Re: Nova VME Bus Adapter Building Files ...

The Lightning VME indeed is a USB addon card for the Atari TT and MegaSTE. It provides USB ports usable for storage devices (e.g. USB flash driver), mouse, keyboard, printer, etc. The Lightning VME card can be used together with a modified Nova -- like the ones Frank is selling now. In case you got...

If it were as easy as "just" to clone the data from the cart It would propably been done already and could easily be put on a file for adding a virtual cart. However, I remember seeing a statement when Cubase 5 for the PC was finally cracked with a virtual device driver emulating the dong...

I couldn't even get it to detect the Jagpads, and I know it was at least working on the Falcon (tested with Crown of Creation) The current version on the site https://atari.8bitchip.info/dwnld.php?get=OIDSAJS.ZIP just has you go around in circles, then crash. Not sure what happened to that one... ht...
