Hello, once more.
It has been almost two years since my initial post.

Are there any good or any news about this?

Re: Compatibility/accuracy database for FPGA cores (Not JUST Mist)

My comment wasn't intended to destroy someone's work. As a community of free time developers and hobbyists, it can be developed only by willing. Anyone is welcome to add whatever he wants. If you can test all cores with many games and make the spreadsheet or review - that's really good! But request...

Buy the way, you are still one of the active developers, in name of the MIST "fans" I believe a Thank You is on order.

Re: Compatibility/accuracy database for FPGA cores (Not JUST Mist)

Thanks Newsdee! That is pretty darn close to what I was hoping for. I have some original hardware and a MIST, so I hope I can do some comparison work and contribute to the spreadsheet. @Sorgelig - Did anyone make any demands or imply expectation of obligation? I agree with the "you do it"...

Re: Mist and an audio input... is it possible?

Hello, I know that this is an old issue but I have found this. Maybe this would make some kind of new ideas, I know it's very farfetched but. Its zx spectrum related but I think it could be adapted to other cores, or not. http://www.zxprojects.com/index.php/external-ultra-high-loader-for-the-zx-spec...

Re: Commodore Amiga 5th Audio Channel using composite video out.

That was interesting to see.. amazing to see people coming up with new ideas even with this amount of time since the machine launched. That said, this is not really applicable on the MiST as there is no composite video line from the FPGA and there are not many general purpose IO pins coming out of ...

Commodore Amiga 5th Audio Channel using composite video out.

Hello,

I was browsing the web and found this.
I know that this is just an curiosity but never the less its fun to see.

http://jmp.no/blog/a-5th-audio-channel-on-the-amiga

Its interessing to know that this can be done.

Probably some one could have other ideias.

Regards.

Re: Sinclair QL

Just came across this topic and there are a few questions here... a) Getting software onto the QL. You can download zip files and unzip them from within an emulator - QPC2 (now freeware) and q-emulator are probably the easiest ones to use - and you can then copy the files onto a QL formatted floppy...

Re: Mist and an audio input... is it possible?

Maybe we can even create a little alternate add-on board for those who don't need/want MIDI. Yeah, daughter with the same size as MIDI and RCA connector at the same place. So, users with MIDI version can use the same holes in case. Can make even stereo input (for both TX and RX GPIO). Or it's bette...

Re: Installing Altera Quartus II Web Edition

There is lots of good advice on the Internet to install Quartus on Debian-like OSes. This one worked fine for me: http://mattaw.blogspot.de/2014/05/making-modelsim-altera-starter-edition.html It also helps you fixing the next problem you'd probably run into: ModelSim not working with newer FreeType...

Re: Porting NuttX to the MiST?

A basic NuttX port shouldn't be _too_ bad (famous last words.) ... it'd be adding support for all the MiST peripherals/FPGA that would be work. I need to get back to my own NuttX port (to my own computer design, not MiST) one of these days. Fun project :) jeff Well i'll give it a try. Who knows!!!!

Re: Porting NuttX to the MiST?

Perhaps you should consider user base. Unlike other systems I don't think you'll have much software for it, much less games? So by all means go for it if you're interested, but since you ask, my opinion/advice is to look at other systems instead. Like that Zet processor (x86 clone), or maybe improv...

Re: Porting NuttX to the MiST?

By the way i need to solder connectors to the board for debugging and probably the JTAG connector ( not needed for this, but i think it best ), but where do i buy them, Element14, Farnell, or is there any other way/place? I have already soldered the JP1 ( from an old card ) and bought the USB to Ser...

Porting NuttX to the MiST?

Hello, I was wondering if the porting the NuttX RTOS would be a plus for the MiST. http://nuttx.org NuttX is a real-time operating system (RTOS) with an emphasis on standards compliance and small footprint. Scalable from 8-bit to 32-bit microcontroller environments, the primary governing standards i...

It would be great to have a port of the Zet processor; even with just 286 there's a lot of DOS games to be run.
