Re: STacy restoration & upgrade Q's

I agree with susher, version 5.1 might make installation easier depending on its 3D printed bracket. I don't have experience with v5.1. I have included pictures of both my installations. The first is before printed brackets were available and I made the mounting bracket from spare parts and modified...

Re: STacy restoration & upgrade Q's

No reply from Alan No reply from the Tumlr guy about the very good USD holder/mount/faceplate https://www.tumblr.com/search/atari+stacy I'm stuck with a STacy in pieces over my workbench.... Hi KLund1, I installed SCSI2SD in two STacy’s. I chose these because (1) they were worked with the Stacy’s i...

Re: Power Supply Centuriontech or Exxos

Another question, if I replace the PSU’s, then will all of this new clean power harm the still original motherboard capacitors? No. But if your ST hasn't been used for many years you should inspect it thoroughly before you power it up. Although I have never seen it myself in an Atari, old electroly...

Re: Power Supply Centuriontech or Exxos

PicoPSU would certainly be less expensive. A PicoPSU and an external brick leaves a lot more room for internal add-ons and also moves the heat source to the outside of the cabinet. But this needs modifications to the PSU (or a custom cable) and also some bracketry, so not as simple as installing one...

Power Supply Centuriontech or Exxos

Hi Y’all,

I am looking to purchase five new power supplies (520STFM, 1040STE, Mega ST4, Falcon, & Falcon MKX).

Does any one have experience with Centuriontech or Exxos PSU’s?
I would really appreciate your opinions and comparisons.

Thanks,

Atari ST 1040 STE Box Art

Hi Y'all, I am looking for the Box Art for the 1040STE in EPS or other vector format. I'd like to modify it for use as my desktop for a 34" Ultra-wide Monitor. I have located the fuji logo and the wording in vector format but not the line drawing of the 1040. Like this: s-l1600.jpg Than...

Re: scsi2sd problem

To What computer is your SCSI2SD attached?
-I’m wondering if the new firmware reset your settings? For example, if the update enabled “Parity,” some Atari’s will not work with parity enabled. It may help to confirm the settings are compatible with your computer.

Thanks. Also whilst I'm doing the swap is it possible to make the internal floppy drive's ID B? - edit : Just noticed the cable has 2 connectors so "yes" IIRC, the Stacy's floppy cable does NOT have a "twist", so it should just be a matter of moving the drive's jumper from "...

So I fired up my old Stacy4 only to find the internal hard drives failed. Those of you who have been using a Pico PSU, what problems (if any) have developed? I am all set to make the conversion but I just read some old warnings by Exxos. I purchased the parts in Gayian’s post that the review said were the best... my lack of experience makes me wary with my prized TT &...
