Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Gehstock is doing much and great work on new cores and he's updating older ones from time to time. I'm doing some support to him with testing his (new/updated) cores to see if they're working with YPBPR and to report conspicuities he might missed. :megaphone: Overall, his repository is very worth to...

Ignore the Avalon of Vectronix, that software has the same name but is not of musical utility.

Thanks for updating. Ignoring Vectronix :)

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

Well guys, maybe MiST is old. MiST is outdated. MiST is obsolete. Already a retro device. And there are very few developers. ...but still good to play some Super Mario Kart: https://github.com/gyurco/SNES_MiSTer/releases/tag/test1 Unbelievable. But working. I would say: "IT'S ALIVE!" http...

Re: It's no more a MiSTery

With the old ST Core there were links to an Atari forum with setup 'Satan' names HD images. They featured games and demos. They should work on this new Core. I will have a hunt for the link. Yes, I'm the one who made those images, the last one for MiSTery here: http://www.retrowiki.es/viewtopic.php...

Re: It's no more a MiSTery

Ok, it's fixed. Btw, with 14 MB, Viking is available only in STeroids mode. The reason: Viking RAM is at c00000, but 14MB ends at DFFFFF. In STeroids, the VRAM is relocated to E80000. Great, many thanks for this! This mode was really fantasic and helpful on the old mist core. More (hardware) test c...

Re: It's no more a MiSTery

Hmmm...the mist-vhi.prg (Viking/SM194) seem to doesn't work anymore. I'm getting a white screen on all normal modes and black/white stripes an STEroids. Did you enable 14M RAM? YesNo. If I setup 14MB RAM the menu Viking/SM194 greys out, turning to off. This menu is availabe/selectable from 512KB to...

Did you create the "settings" file in the ROM folder? It will save after you do this... It was earlier in the thread, I missed it at first also. http://www.64kib.com/autobuild/private/settings_examples/ Yes, I did. And this is working to switch and save the video setting, but not for the ...

Finally might try some mistification, but don’t hold your breath. I have many other things I want to do on this project and it’s just a hobby. Added the reconfigurable PLL, however it seems the NTSC/PAL setting is not working in the built-in menu. It always returns back to NTSC. You need a preconfi...

Re: MiST core and firmware changelog

You can save the config in the OSD menu. You need to enable only once/core. Will try that, but that's far too easy ;) If you want the hard task, then you can add a new virtual switch into the firmware, and modify _all_ (portrait) cores to use it :D I don't think it's worth the effort for m...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Meanwhile I've made Traverse USA work on MiST (from @darfpga). It really uses a strange display geometry, and YPbPr does not really like it, but otherwise it's fine. The core uses a lot of RAM, and must use the SDRAM, too (need a TRAVERSE.ROM on the SD-Card). @Gehstock, I've sent a PR with that. Gr...

Re: MiST core and firmware changelog

But as there are more and more great cores coming that are using a rotated screen, I'm getting tired of enabling rotate controls every time ;) So I'm now kindly requ...
