Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

i´d like to mention that you can use the always available and most efficient screensaver - the monitor power switch  Actually that's what I do if I leave my Falcon on and I need to go off for 10 mins. Any longer, I would just shutdown. Would be nice to have a sleep mode. On my windoze, I put i...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

well, i will try that CPX screen saver next time I have my FB out. My Falcon/CT63 is currently setup in my small man cave. Well that screen does work for me. I get a blank screen, so I guess that works for me until I can figure out Twilight. I tried 256 and 16bit color and Twilight still crashes wh...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

I can see your point, but it still would be nice to use it. If I cannot, then I will just go with out one. Who knows, maybe the next monitor I get will have a built in one. Any screensaver works for you? even the one that is built in to the monitor? http://didier.mequignon.free.fr/firebee.htm Look ...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

In my case only few modules of screensaver worked with the FireBee. But I stil had some problems after screensaver stoped and resumed back to desktop. I dont remember what was the problem. After that I deleted Twilight from my FireBee. I can see your point, but it still would be nice to use it. If ...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

are you using memory protection? On the FireBee? No way. Yes, that is true. I would love to use memory protection, but cannot. It just bogs my mind why other are using Twilight when I cannot. I am using a Vizio TV with my FB. Could that be the problem? I am going to buy a big Multi-sync monitor soo...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

I still cannot get Twilight to run correctly. Again, I can get it to come up and adjust the settings. I can run all the screensavers in the demo mode. They come up fine and look great. However it still crashes when I set it to come after 30 seconds or more. Here is what Xaaes says when Twilight cras...

Re: Atari Screensaver for Firebee

Been trying to get Twilight to work on the Firebee. Ran great on my Hades060, but seems to have a snag on the FB. I can run the demos just fine, but when it tries to kick in XaAes gives me a BUS error. Is there a setting I need to adjust or add in the XeAes.cnf file? I'm checking my TwiLight setup ...

Re: Flashing the Firebee Using a PC

Nice to know, about this multilink board ... the inability to "flash" has always been a gamestopper for me to actually join in. Personally I find the mechanism to flash a wee bit too expensive, and a wee bit too complicated. But with this, I just might go out and look to find one ... espe...

Re: Flashing the Firebee Using a PC

Well I hooked up this new piece of hard I received and it worked fine with the Firebee. It looks like it is a TBLCF. It is only costs $39 plus shipping and included the 26pin BDM cable. I got mine from Amazon, but you can also get it from this site: http://www.cncgeeker.com/coldfire-usbbdm-debuggerp...

Re: Flashing the Firebee Using a PC

I found another piece of hardware that is cheaper and will try and get it to work. If I do I will post it here.... Went and downloaded the CD ROM software for this device from the manufacture's website. It has the USB drivers and Code Warrior version 6.3. From the file names of the driver this is a...

Re: Bad Flash on my Firebee

If you use the latest FireTOS from 2014 you are using the correct cpx as well (as the one wich is included is the only working one). So I am really wondering what might be the IDE issue. What BaS are you using? You should give BaS Codewarrior a try and see if the problems are gone. I am sure I usin...

Yeah I an not sure about the rules and all that will the software. I know that the CFF flash patch files are on the P&E website and can only be accessed if you have an account with them. Registering is free. The H-TBLCF file I got from the interenet and can be accessed b y anyone. And Didier gav...

Mathias,

Forgot to say thanks to compliment. I wanted to make it clear as how the flashing procedure is done and to help others just in case they experience the same situation that I did.

AS far as I know I have the latest Fireconf.Cpx. I will check though. My boot order is IDE 0 - 1 and then the SCSI.

Re: Flashing the Firebee Using a PC

It dawned on that I did not provide access to the files that updated CF Flasher to work, so they are attached to this message. I cannot provide access to the drivers and firmware to the Multilink Universal. You will can only have access to those files if you buy the MLU. And would not need the patch...

Flashing the Firebee Using a PC

Hello again all, As you all know, I was flashing my Firebee (the FPGA s19 file) using the flashing tool and the flashing tool crashed. This left me with a dead FB that did nothing when I turned it on. I was told that I had to flash the FB externally using a PC and using a program called CF Flashed, ...

Thanks. I am kind of glad this happened as now I am more knowledgeable in the matter. I am pretty much back. I just have to figure out why the IDE 0 gives a "no answer".
