Re: Acorn Archimedes

Bizarre bug, just tried it again today and everything was fine. Would say it is an issue with my monitor, but the older core versions worked fine and no other core showed any flickering.

Re: Acorn Archimedes

I finally got the chance to try the latest versions of the core. On my RGB Monitor, the screen flickers in version 190305 and 190308, the earlier versions worked fine.

Re: Acorn Archimedes

Seems MonitorTypes of 1 or 4 should work with most of the displays then. Still would be good to think about something to store it permanently, instead of tapping a key at every boot. Maybe a file on the SD-Card to store the CMOS memory values? This would be great, I think the CMOS store more values...

Re: Acorn Archimedes

Tried some methods to obtain a 15kHz-compatible video mode, but nothing worked... But built-in component output should work on all modes. The core changes the resoultion, this can be seen, when you type in blind on the command line to change the resolution, but even the RGB compatible resolution do...

Re: Acorn Archimedes

Is there a way to make the core boot in a RGB resolution, so far it only syncs on a VGA monitor? The Archie was a computer with dedicated monitor, and not a console. I'm not sure if it's doable or not. As I remember desktop has a VGA/NTSC compatible 640x480@60Hz resolution, but most games use non-T...

Re: Acorn Archimedes

It's BS, the problem is that the CPU cannot resetted after RISCOS loaded into memory, or other initialization problem, doesn't matter what's on the SD-Card. Try this: - Load the core (fail to start) - DON'T TURN OFF MIST, just press the left button, and load the core again Upd.: Please test the att...

Rayne posted an Update for the 6526 on mist-fpga.net, that fixes some more issues:

I attach the patch here.

Re: New 6526 (CIA) Implementation for the C64 core

I've finished integrating Rayne's CIA, but rewritten the timers. All CIA timer tests are passing! So somebody could tell him a thanks :) And he can check the modified CIA here: https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/blob/master/cores/c64/rtl/mos6526.v Hammerfist still works. Also found out the SI...

Re: [C16 PLUS4 Core] update

How do you create C16.ROM? You have to use the command line to merge the C16 Basic Rom, the Jiffy C16 Kernal Rom and the Jiffy 1541 Dos Rom with the copy/b command: copy/b name1+name2+name3 c16.rom name1=the name of the C-16 Basic Rom name2=the name the Jiffy Dos Kernal Rom name3=the name o...

Re: Genesis / Megadrive core ported to MiST

Many thanks for your fantastic work, the core is nearly perfect. A small glitch appears in Splatter House 3, both the US and the japanese Rom have a graphical glitch, the walking animation of the character isn't played, when the character moves, it is stuck in one frame of the animation.

Re: [Atari 800 core] Mark Watson's new site

It would be great, if this core would use the MiST OSD instead of its own OSD, the compability is already great and as far as I see, the core is quite accurate, but navigating in the OSD is so slow and reading of a directory to mount a disk image takes a long time, it looks like the OSD is running o...

There's a seventh Supergrafx Game. Darius Alpha is a Boss Rush version of Darius Plus and also has Supergrafx support, I just tried it and it also works fine like the other six games. Re: PCEngine core issues with roms?

Finished the SuperGrafix port from MiSTer. For the increased demand on memory bandwidth, the SDRAM clock was increased to 126 MHz, hopefully it won't be unstable (it's still in spec, MiSTs should have 133 MHz SDRAM). The FPGA's internal BRAM usage: M9Ks 66 / 66 ( 100 % ) So don't expect many more i...

All the games I have are converted .nib games by me. Where have you found converted games? :D The TOSEC Set includes 74 MB of .nib games. Which TOSEC Set? The most recent one I can find (2017-04-23) only has 15.3MB. You are right, it's the dsk archive that is over 70 MB, the .nib archive is much sm...
