Re: Request on 8 bit computer cores: NO-BORDER option?

Yes, I know that borders are used in some games/demos, and for the loading process, and a very important and caracteristic part of this computers. ( I was waiting at his moment the Renaud's core with borders and was a good news when the core showed at least the border) I didn't mean to delete borde...

Re: Request on 8 bit computer cores: NO-BORDER option?

To me it is a rather pointless option. I use the MiST to get a close simulation of the original hardware. Getting rid of the borders of these systems is of no interest to me. Besides many games on the 8 and 16 Bit computers broke the borders and used it as part of the playfield. Just my thoughts on ...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

It would be great, if the HDF files could be inside folders instead of the root level. I have about 450 games in HDF format, putting all of them on the root level doesn't work, the core doesn't see all the files. Putting them in folders named a to z would help. Why a HDF for every game?. I have mor...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Still with the same problem: core starts, but no kickstart screen. Just a blank screen, so no game, hardisk, anything can be booted  Using the same settings I had before, I've tested four 3.1 roms, no one starts. My Mist.ini is: [mist] scandoubler_disable=0 ; set to 1 to run supported cores ...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

V6 works stable for me, but I can't get Turrican 2 running for more then a few minutes. I doesn't crash at the same point, but usually after 2 or 3 minutes.

Re: It's no more a MiSTery

I tried some demos today, the Bad Apple demo crashes right after start, it works on the other ST core. Also, any chance to get Robocop 3 running, it doesn't work on any ST core. EDIT: Correction The 2 disc version from the Bastards Robocop 3 works on TOS 1.04 and ST chipset, but on no other TOS, the...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

Thanks for your work, this is a fantastic surprise. I just played R-Type III for an hour and it was perfect, as far as I can see. I finally had to edit my controller config, because I never mapped the L and R buttons to my gamepad, no other system used them so far. :)

Re: It's no more a MiSTery

Great work, many many thanks for this new core. I tried Lethal Excess and it finally boots, it still has graphical glitches, but on the old core the game never managed to even come to the loading screen. Turn off blitter in the main menu, and it won't have glitches. I see, that's great. Just curiou...

Bizarre bug, just tried it again today and everything was fine. Would say it is an issue with my monitor, but the older core versions worked fine and no other core showed any flickering.

Re: Acorn Archimedes

Seems MonitorTypes of 1 or 4 should work with most of the displays then. Still would be good to think about something to store it permanently, instead of tapping a key at every boot. Maybe a file on the SD-Card to store the CMOS memory values? This would be great, I think the CMOS store more values...

Re: Acorn Archimedes

Tried some methods to obtain a 15kHz-compatible video mode, but nothing worked... But built-in component output should work on all modes. The core changes the resoultion, this can be seen, when you type in blind on the command line to change the resolution, but even the RGB compatible resolution do...

Re: Acorn Archimedes

Is there a way to make the core boot in a RGB resolution, so far it only syncs on a VGA monitor? The Archie was a computer with dedicated monitor, and not a console. I'm not sure if it's doable or not. As I remember desktop has a VGA/NTSC compatible 640x480@60Hz resolution, but most games use non-T...

Re: Acorn Archimedes

It's BS, the problem is that the CPU cannot resetted after RISCOS loaded into memory, or other initialization problem, doesn't matter what's on the SD-Card. Try this: - Load the core (fail to start) - DON'T TURN OFF MIST, just press the left button, and load the core again Upd.: Please test the att...
