I thought for sure there was already one in the past, but it was unfinished.

Re: [Solved] MiST Hardware Revisions? MSX-Core-Problem

Is there any way to mount and manipulate the msx.vhd files from Windows? I don't want to have to boot another OS to do that if I don't have to...

EDIT: Disregard, found this (https://www.howtogeek.com/51174/mount-a ... ght-click/) which works fine.

That's great news- thanks for fixing. About the only other things it needs is support for switching to the older ROMs.

That version is not what is in your GIT repo. The version in your GIT repo now is the old II+ core. constant CONF_STR : string := "AppleII+;;S,NIB;O2,Monitor Type,Color,Monochrome;O3,Monitor Mode,Main,Alt;O4,Enable Scanlines,off,on;O5,Joysticks,Normal,Swapped;O6,Mockingboard S4,off,on;T7,Cold ...

I just did a clean git clone of your whole directory... Then no idea, of course in the history of the repo, there is the Apple II+. The latest revision's mist_top contains the config string: constant CONF_STR : string := "AppleII;;"& "S,NIB;"& "O1,CPU Type,6502,65C0...

Re: Apple ][+ Core

It's not that the colors are wrong... All lores color output is scrambled in a crazy way. Just run the color demo and see what it does, or watch the kaleidoscope. Something is strange with it... This didn't happen in the old ][ core, but I can see you had to rewrite the output for 15khz completely....

Re: Apple ][+ Core

Not sure what you mean about LORES colors. They are correct in the old Apple ][+ core. https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-binaries/blob/master/cores/appleii%2B/appleii_180912_2.rbf I don't think so, type the BASIC program here: https://mrob.com/pub/xapple2/colors.html I went by the COLOR DEMOSOFT o...

I think it's quite acceptable now, LORES colors weren't there even for the ][+ core. Re: Apple ][+ Core

Technically, it looks like you are using the "enhanced" //e ROMs in an emulation with the original 6502? If so, you are creating a version of the enhanced //e that never existed. There's some progress since that: Photo0036.jpg The colors are wrong, but the timing generator for DHIRES and ...

Re: Apple ][+ Core

As NTSC is not in the RGB color space, a conversion is needed anyway. However it was not hard to fix. Also did some improvement towards IIe support, the result: Photo0035.jpg Attached the core (it's a work in progress, no double hi-res, so some games are displayed wrongly, even POP title screen, no...

Re: Archeology: The TOS before version 1.00

How do you go about booting an original TOS disk if you have TOS in ROM already? Is there a different set of boot ROMs for the motherboard that looks for this disk? Like the Amiga 1000 kickstart setup?

Thanks! Colors are better now, but there is now some issue with text output...

Here, it is supposed to say "APPLE ][".

It boots and runs fine, but there are other oddities. The cursor is a "?" mark, etc.

EDIT: Sorry, you mentioned it was a WIP and doesn't show lower case.

Re: Apple ][+ Core

Technically, if you output the signal with the right original timings, you do not have to emulate the artifact colors. At 15Khz on an original RGB monitor, it should work just like the original Apple II. I don't think so. Atari 8-bit artifacts (NTSC artifacts, to be more precise) disappear on RGB. ...

The emulator has all wrong colors now... What is orange is blue, and what is green is purple, and vice-versa, etc. Even in the pictures posted above, all the colors are backwards, like 90 or 180 degrees out of phase. The ground is supposed to be purple (I know, stupid as that is, but that is how the...

I have an SF314 where several of the connections on the board were no longer made between the DIN connector and the floppy cable. It looked like some of them had corroded. I patched them with some bodge wires and my drive worked again. There were around 5 lines no longer making connection at all. I ...

I have this same exact problem, but with an SF314. Did you ever solve it? EDIT: I solved my problem. I traced each pin from the floppy connector to the drive cable and found 5 different connections were broken. I suspect this controller board got wet or corroded somehow. Once I jumper-wired these co...
