Re: BeePi 1.0

Yes it will be updated, I am still maintaining BeePi. Just be patient as I don’t have the time to do it right now. I'm jumping in here and ask my question... ;) What about the Raspberry Pi 4? Do you plan to "port" it? Yes, but I need a Raspi 4 and time, and right now I don’t have nor one ...

Re: BeePi 1.0ground

I noticed on Kronos, you can load a profile for aranym_pi3_jit and it is actually faster than the beepi as the results show (jit results listed as "Raspberry Pi 3B", Beepi results as "Your computer" ): kronos.png So I assume Beepi isn't using the ARAnyM J(ust)I(n)T(ime) version....

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

Yes it can be updated, but it’s not an easy task as each new version of Aranym can bring some incompatibility, and in the case of BeeKey you need to know how to build a system image. I will update it, it’s not a question of “if” but more a question of “when” as I don’t have access right now to my de...

Re: BeePi 1.0

As Wongck said, it’s an issue with your router. I have tested with different routers, 2 were working correctly with the default setup, and 1 was not working. The workaround is to configure BeePi bridge address on a different subnetwork than your router. If your router address is 192.168.1.1, then se...

Re: BeePi 1.0

Yes the Rapi3 proc isn’t fast enough to run Netsurf at a confortable speed. May be the Rapi4 improves it a little bit, but BeePi isn’t compatible yet with the Pi4. With a fast Intel proc it is usable if the site doesn’t use https. It’s sad to say, but browsing a modern web page needs a lot of power ...

Re: fVDI 2 bombs at Aranym 1.1.0

Have you deactivated the NVDI video drivers, and modified Fvdi.sys with the right parameters?
By the way, I have only tested it with NVDI 5.03. I don’t know if other version may run.

Re: fVDI 2 bombs at Aranym 1.1.0

Hi, Yes, it works. I did a setup like this many years ago, but I don’t use it any longer , as FVDI is breaking the compatibility of many apps, and the interest for me to run TOS 4.04 is to have the best compatibility, so I prefer now to run TOS 4.04 with NVDI + Videl Inside. Anyway, you can have a l...

Re: Hatari loads slow and reports errors on RPi3B running Raspbian

Excellent news !!!
Have you tried the version of SDL2 from retropie ? It works under the console and is accelerated, so it shouldn’t put the cpu under stress and allows you to use Hatari video scaling.
Can you post your hatari config file ? it will be good for others to replicate.

Re: Hatari loads slow and reports errors on RPi3B running Raspbian

Use a basic usb to midi interface recognized by RaspBian : mostly all work :-) I am afraid that’s more Cubase accurate emulation which drains the RPI3. May be a better setup could improve the synchronization? I believe that Midi on a RPI3 definitely needs to be investigated deeper. Unfortunately, I ...

Re: Hatari loads slow and reports errors on RPi3B running Raspbian

Hi, Well, the easy and fast answer to your need is : “install BeePi “ which is already optimized for RPI3 (see link in my signature) But as BeePi also include Aranym and a complete Mint OS, it could be too much for you. It’s up to you. Now, if you want to build Hatari to run on a Pi, it’s kind of tr...

Re: BeePi 1.0

May be I have not expressed it well. You can play games on a Pi zéro, (if I am not wrong it’s the same speed as the Pi 1) with Hatari at ST speed in low res. There are many handheld DIY consol built on it. Aranym will run of course faster than a plain ST, but it won’t be fun to use, especially with ...

Re: BeePi 1.0

The Pi 1 is really underpowered for aranym. It should be good for Hatari and a vanilla ST emulation though. The freeze of aranym at boot from time to time is a known bug. It appears only on the Pi, not on a x86. It should be corrected with the latest aranym and emutos version from what I understood,...

Re: BeePi 1.0

I have never tested Beepi on a PI 1B as I don’t have one. Try to start aranym from the shell by typing “aranym-jit”, it should start and complaints that there is no TOS and config file, but at least you can test if the emulator starts. Aranym is configured to use by default 512 MB of memory, so that...

Difficult to answer you without more precision.
Have you passed the setup steps as explained in the video?

Re: BeePi 1.0

Difficult to answer as there are many references of screens. Beepi is built on Raspbian light stretch. From what I read on the net, Raspbian light doesn’t seem to include a driver for LCD plugged in screen, but a driver can be installed manually. Have a look at this article to see if your lcd is com...
