Re: Falcon/CT60e video options

Yes, and I have tested it in detail. CT60e has a slight hardware modification vs CT60 and CT63 which needs a new patched TOS , and this patch has been applied only to TOS 1.04, not to TOS 2.02 which is necessary to use CTPCI. Yesterday I have talked to a guy that told me that this "slight hard...

Re: Raspberry Pi baremetal port?

But it does not work for me, yet :( The lightest backend I currently have uses directfb in between kms/drm and sdl2. The resulting backend is now roughly 20MB (gzipped initramfs + linux kernel). Not bad, but I'm not sure I didn't lost the accceleration. Wow, it sounds amazing ! I am looking forward...

Re: foss-north 2018: Atari ST Free Operating Systems

Did you considder to enhance your MiNT distribution to be able to install it also on real Atari (compatible) hardware, like TT, Falcon, Firebee, Milan, Hades, Eagle, ST with Turbocards+Alt/TT-RAM, Vampirized ST/Amiga? No, it is not part of my priorities for now, may be in a "not so close"...

Re: foss-north 2018: Atari ST Free Operating Systems

Next step should be to unite all kinds of MiNT Distributions (see Vincents presentation, I think all flavours are listed), packages and so ob to get something what functions "out of the box" on all (Emu)TOS supported platforms Actually Faucon2001 has done a huge step forward in this area....

Re: Raspberry Pi baremetal port?

Hatari with a dedicated reduced Linux base without fancy shells and extra GUIs would be cool to have. I don't see the point in investing into a truely on-the-hardware implementation. Esp. if this leads only to a clone without true Atari ST hardware capabilities. For a speedy clone, a fancy Aranym i...

Re: Falcon/CT60e video options

TOS 1.04 and TOS 2.02 are different version of TOS 4.04 patched for CT60. I know it’s confusing but it’s how they are named.

For TC, 1008x1024. I believe it can go higher for vertical resolution, but 1008 in horizontal is the maximum. Anything higher will crash, but I don’t know why.

Re: Install MagiC alongside Mint ?

In CT60e mode (I installed the patches provided by Didier Mequignon) You have not used the latest official patch : please use this one : https://github.com/mikrosk/ct60tos/releases/tag/1.03c There is a topic talking about Magic 6.2 and CT60e : http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=31313

Re: Install MagiC alongside Mint ?

I have installed on the same falcon CT60, Mint 1.19m and Magic 6.2, and select which system I want to boot on with Xboot. It works well. Install your 2 systems as normal from TOS in 030 mode. Apply the necessary patches. Magic should be started first after Xboot, and Mint generally last in the list ...

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

Hi, After quite a long time since the last release, I am back on track with an update for BeeKey. It corrects several minor bugs on the host side and should speed up the boot time. As requested by many, the update comes with a Hard Drive installer ; so now you can build your BeeBox. As always, pleas...

Re: TOS Apps unstable in Aranym?

You have to set the sample rate and if the sound is going to be mono or stereo in Aranym config file manually. Try to decrease the sample rate (from 44100 to 22050) and choose mono may help. In fact it depends on the power of your processor, on interactions with the system, and if your are using Ara...

Re: Falcon Video extension

It’s interference.
You need to ground the shielding with the chassis of each DB19. But I don’t think that peritel cable are adequate for vga signal which are more prone to interferences.

I own the same monitor and it works perfectly with my STE and Falcon, in ST Low, Mid and high, and Falcon RGB and VGA. Basically you install magic in falcon mode as usual, verify that it works properly. Apply the CT60 patch and reboot in CT60 mode.
