Re: Sting help - Mega2 ST TOS 1.04

Make sure you're using TABs and SPACEs EXACTLY like in original ROUTE.TAB file. STING is very picky about that.

Re: Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge - STE enhanced (WIP)

Maybe curb/middle line color could be done by rasters instead of drawing it in color? Then its drawing routine could be simplified and some CPU time could be used for diffrent things. Thanks for the suggestion! Do you mean changing the palette once per line, or changing it several times during each...

Re: Fastcopy pro 1.2

I think that using a tool on PC like MSA2ST (on any other image converter) is a better solution then 'copying' floppy under emulator.

This is cool. Can it be also applied to Lotus II and III?

@rmd if it is performance critical, You can malloc n+4 bytes of memory manually and align structure by yourself.

Re: Fastest way to copy a 256 colors sprite to a chunk buffer on 68060

Yes there is. There are flags in binary header of executable concerning fastram compatibility. The default is "use fastram if possible". Also, there is a special memory allocation function (Mxalloc) that allows to choose what kind of RAM you want.

I had similar problems with SM124, and it turned out to be PSU.

From TOS point of view there is no diffrence between binary forms of TOS. TTP, APP or PRG, so renaming is just enough.

Re: Extend the sound system for MiNT

MiNT has never really did anything with audio hw. There is an outdated ancient unix compatibile /dev/snd driver, but it was never really used by anyone and has not been maintained for years.

AtariTrek wrote:Yes I wrote the ST but obviously it is too slow (theoretically).
However EQ and Volume on the master output should be doable?

On ST master volume is trivial as long as You do not need to change it in realtime, as it is provided in HW.
EQ would take to much CPU time.

Re: Extend the sound system for MiNT

Falcon could do it with DSP. ST is to slow for such OS level infrastructure, Firebee probably could do it, but it would require a lot of CPU time to do that.

How to test Falcon SCSI chip

I need to test my Falcons SCSI chip before I'll start to use it (reason: I want to start to use it with internal SCSI adapter, and I do not want wo waste adapter and work needed to put it if SCSI chip does not work, I have another MB to try). So, how do I test SCSI chip without connecting any SCSI d...
