Re: FW11 update app

Hello Saulot! I wrote the SVUpdate some years ago. Trying now to remember what it requires and I just dived into the source code... I'm pretty sure that you cannot just bz2-pack two mcs-files, because the SVUpdate needs a bz2-packed XSVF-file. The XSVF-format is a recorded programming session, i.e a...

Re: Falcon Problems

Hello! I recognize some of your instability issues from when we developed the EtherNat and the SV and the falcon was flaky. Putting and pulling boards on/off the connectors seems to crack the solders after a while. One thing that usually helped was to resolder the solders of the motherboard expansio...

Re: ct60 with a pico psu - startup problematic

Hello! This sounds very similar to my problems. I have a pico-PSU in my falcon also and when I try to power it on it very often just lights up the powerled for a fraction of a second and then dies down again. I've discovered that if I slightly twist the 12V power cable (coming from the AC/DC-adapter...

Re: Atari STe 1040 - Joystick fault

I recognize your problems vaguely from when I had similar problems many years ago. The mouse on my falcon would work normally directly after power on but after a few minutes it would start to get more and more unresponsive until it was completely dead. I think I tried resoldering the Dsub9-connector...

Re: Internal Falcon Ethernet controller

Cool board! :D A few months ago I was thinking of making such a board, because my ct60 is broken and the cartridgeport as well, so there was no way to get reasonably fast ethernet in my falcon anymore. But you beat me to it :D

Re: Quake 2 on Falcon030

This is simply amazing, Doug! 8O Like some people have pointed out already, your engine would really be interesting to use for games and demos. I've been fiddling around with making my own isometric 3D game by generating static bitmaps in four directions of the 3D objects I've created in Blender, bu...
