Re: Atari st series computers conversion PC

Hi there, after waiting for a few parts (USB3.0-header-adaptor,...) coming from China I completed my 520ST+ -PC. :) http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/LuciMan30/Atari/IMG_20151107_122436_zps2envtvhe.jpg I also added a half-PCI-e-board for WLAN & two small HP-Laptop-antennas (front left &am...

Re: Atari st series computers conversion PC

....- you could trim the fins that are in the way, and probably not see any impact with temps. The fins aren´t in the way - they just touch the kb´s backside. Most 520-kb are bent a bit in the middle after all these years so I guess that´s why. For backup, you could put a small fan in there as well...

Re: Atari st series computers conversion PC

@Claus: you could cut a few of the heatsink parts, i did that with a D510MO Mainboard too, so it fits into a 1HE 19" Case. Doesn't get much warmer........ I could but I won´t. ;) I´ll never touch the board in that way. But I will give it a try to find other ideas to cool it down enough so that...

Re: Atari st series computers conversion PC

Hi Joska & Co., last week I went further on getting my thin-itx-board into the 520STM housing. http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/LuciMan30/Atari/520STM_Q1900TM-ITX-01_zps1hwk3bpb.jpg http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/LuciMan30/Atari/520STM_Q1900TM-ITX-03_zpsbuhjtn7g.jpg In fact it ...

The mouse plugged to a 1040 kb is working fine (incl. right click) but unfortunately I don´t have any joystick to test both at the same time (I´m no gamer - sorry)!

Re: Atari st series computers conversion PC

Yes. You would have to modify the keymap on the PC. Are you using Windows? Yes - I am using Win10. But am I able to create my own layout? I'll find out later. :) The LED was just a debug feature. It is disabled in the files I uploaded last night. I thought so but wasn't quite sure because I haven't...

Hi joska, it seems you are very busy - thank you! :) As we know now that I had got it wrong because I thought I´ll get the special characters by using AltGr+ then pushing the @,\, ... as printed on the Atari keys Ä, Ö, Ü (and not like the are printed on the PC keys q, ß, ...) I would like to know if...

You wrote that CapsLock becomes AltGr and indeed it does. :) Let me ask first: how do you get this: @ or this \? On a PC-kb you push AltGr+Q (the sec...

You are the Master of Bits & Bytes! So I flashed again - btw - which modus is corresponding to the blinking led? I am a bit confused. The led is constant: when I press CapsLock the light goes off - the key works like Shift (big characters). Led on = normal/small characters &...

I'm curious to know why people collect more than one of a particular Atari? Why not? ;) If possible I like to keep one stock and one tricked out. Well then - as you can see (because I am writing with a ST-kb) this file works like a beauty. :D I tried another kb in the meantime but there were shown some silly characters. The kb I tried at the beginning still doesn´t work - I have to check it with a ST. Now I can start building the Teensy-ST520...
