SOLD: Ultrasatan case with ACSI cable

I bought an external ultrasatan but then I took the board out and built it internally to my STe. I have an empty shell and ACSI cable from Lotharek's shop for sale. The difference in the cased and internal version of ultrasatan is 18 euros, and the cable I have he no longer stocks, but it was 12 eur...

Re: Do they still make them?

Sorry if I'm an idiot and just missed something obvious somewhere! Is the only chance for purchasing a CT60 or CT63 to buy someone's old used one? Or is someone still manafacturing boards for this? Rodolphe is prepairing CTX accelerator which will include also the PCI. I guess the best would be to ...

Re: Cubase and digital multitrack sync

Selling music gear to policemen? What???? I use a combination of Atari STe Cubase, Yamaha Promix 01, Ensoniq ASR-X Pro and Yamaha DX200. I use the STe as master clock for everything. I really love the Promix 01 so I haven't had any desire to upgrade from it. One day I really want to replace the back...

Re: ST vs Mac : advantages/disadvantages

I grew up using 68k macs at home and in school, but always knew the ST as a machine that musicians used! To this day I prefer to use a STe over a $1000+ MIDI sequencer. It always had better music support. That said I still use a 68k Powerbook as a laptop when I just want to do "computer" t...

Re: NEW IDE Controller & TOS 2.06 board (with extras)

Last time I posted in this thread I expressed interest in something for my STfm, but I sold my STfm off since it was very messed up! I now am the proud owner of a 1040STe loaded up with 4MB RAM, however I already flashed some chips with TOS 2.06, could I still do some fun stuff with alternate OSes t...

Re: NEW IDE Controller & TOS 2.06 board (with extras)

Hey, would these boards work on a STacy as well? I might like to upgrade the 20mb hd in it and throw in some more RAM and a 1.44mb support.

If so, count me in for one of those instead of one for a STfm.

Re: Atari 520STfm Floppy+Monitor Woes (maybe more woes)

The floppy drive still doesn't work right :coffe: Can I test the floppy cable somehow? Followed the directions in the MFP920 thread/this thread totally but just run into the same errors I'm not sure what else would be the problem. The floppy cable only goes in one way. Its not upside down is it? The...

Re: Atari 520STfm Floppy+Monitor Woes (maybe more woes)

Hey everyone :coffe: So I finally got my MPF920-Z in the mail and threw it in my STfm. I did make sure to move the jumper and put that one wire on correctly. The floppy drive is very quiet but tends to make a grinding noise before saying "Drive A is not responding" while formatting. Also n...

Yes, it can do both.

Re: Atari 520STfm Floppy+Monitor Woes (maybe more woes)

I have tons of 720k floppies around, no need for me to use my 1.44mb's for that.
Good to know though. I've been thinking about getting a HxC but it's $110 versus $6... i'm sure i'll get one soon enough though...

Anybody in the USA with an extra STE?

I got hit with the ST bug fast! Haven't fell in love with a platform like this since 68k Macs, it must be a 68000 thing  Just curious to see if anyone has a 540STe or 1040STe they wouldn't mind parting ways with. Re: The LaST Upgrade - Part 6 - PSU

I'm personally very satisfied with the PICO power supply, at least the 2 models I've got. You will have to adapt it to your particular Atari model, but there are message threads here, and at Atari Forum, with pictures to help. It runs cooler, gives more stable power, smaller in size, and it "f...

Re: Atari 520STfm Floppy+Monitor Woes (maybe more woes)

Hmm, well what if I just put in a new modded Sony drive and don't do the 1.44mb mod as it looks rather involved (so lazy :coffe: ), i can live with DD floppy until i can track down a better ST. Unfortunately I'm in the USA where it seems like ST's are a little harder to come by and I think shipping ...

Very interesting idea, I was considering a pin-compatible upgrade for my STfm!

I would love to see a good updated Minix to run on the ST though. Would be very fun for when I'm not Cubasing.

I notice you're all using PAL systems, there isn't any reason this shouldn't work on a NTSC STfm is there?
