No. This is just in the good tradition of bad documentation.

Haha! I guess the sarcasm in previous post went by completely unnoticed :-D

Just add the hack to the Amiga branch of EmuTOS. :)

Re: Was choosing DR for TOS really good solution ?

I think building a complete computer platform from scratch in 6 months is a herculean achievement. You can bet that the engineers working there were the best in the world.

Re: EmuTOS 0.9.9

A brief look at the atari compendium. The sources to TOS are on the net somewhere. It might be worth digging through them. The Atari Compendium is not an official Atari documentation, is it? Sources, unless officially published at the time are certainly not any kind of documentation at all. And any...

Re: EmuTOS 0.9.9

The Atari ABI specifies that return codes to functions will be returned in d0 IMHO. For a void function that will be pot luck... IE anything which just happens to be in d0 when the function returns if the registers aren't preserved. If a function is marked (void) you can't expect a sane return code....

Re: EmuTOS 0.9.9

If this behaviour is undocumented and there's a documented way to do it, relying on it is stupid IMHO. Has this function always been documented this way? Anyone expecting a void function to return something deserves to have their code broken. BTW initial Blitter support is awesome. Text blitting nex...

Re: 'communication problem with people'

There are two billion active android devices out there and one billion iOS devices. Windows desktop is going the way of windows phone. It can't compete on cost with a cheap tablet for basic user needs. EG facebook, ebay etc etc. I give it five years to drop off the face of the earth. There's a good ...

Re: 'communication problem with people'

Surely the purpose of an autobuild is for continuous integration testing? Ie to make sure a patch hasn't broken the build process. If you want a stable release, wait for the proper public release.

BTW I will sue eab in 2018 over advocating piracy, as I will have a company developping games, as this is something I really didn't like, when the moderators do not condemn piracy and express the idea it didn't reduce the number of originals sold, and thus that made no harm to games makers. Why not...

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

question: sprite on a STE when is it better to blitter and when is it better to use CPU? On the Atari STE I would say that you cannot beat the Blitter for this task. Especially when you need space for animation frames where the precalculation is not an option at all. +1 Hardware wins always.... Use...

Re: Apollo Team announces developing of Vampire standalone version to run as AMIGA and ATARI ST

I find memory protection very useful. I had very stable system with it enabled on my Milan060. It is shame it is not available for the FireBee. When you find what software make troubles with MP enabled you just dont use it anyway. I had no need to use such software at all. If software doesn't work ...

Re: Apollo Team announces developing of Vampire standalone version to run as AMIGA and ATARI ST

In all case if we want take advantage of 68080 Mint need to be updated (more register to save, MMU ...) but Mint can work as it is and already run under 68080. Who use protected mode? near nobody, perhaps some developpers as I do to remove bugs I'd rather have memory protection in Mint if at all po...

Re: Apollo Team announces developing of Vampire standalone version to run as AMIGA and ATARI ST

Appolo core support an MMU but not compatible with other 68K CPU, Appolo core support FPU but up to now there was not enough memory on Vampire V2 card, so I suppose it will be available on the V4. We can work to have good support of SAGA in Emutos It should really just mimic the 040 MMU or the 030 ...

Re: Apollo Team announces developing of Vampire standalone version to run as AMIGA and ATARI ST

The stand alone version is more interesting than the CPU card version. This is depending on how good the SAGA emulation of AGA is and what extra features it adds. No Atari support however as expected. No MMU or FPU either? Appolo core support an MMU but not compatible with other 68K CPU, Appolo cor...

If extra video modes are added emutos could be extended to handle them. If you added a 256 colour mode for instance.
