Re: Atari ST(e) + Mint + NetUSBee

I will probably need to reinstall Mint from scratch and don't use Mintos. I have to read documentation about Mint, how is booting process works (more like linux or bsd/unix) to see if I can safe some memory somwhere. i always wanted to get Mint on my old STe, but my memory was just to low. What kernel are you using on Mint ?
For me, only newest one working fine. Older kernels are not working well with netusbee driver (mint is crashing on after 1st ping).

Re: Atari ST(e) + Mint + NetUSBee

I just made a test with newest kernel and so far so good :) Booting process broke in some place and went to shell (need to check why, probably many changes need to be done to adapt old KGMD environment to work with new kernel) but it was fine for me and it allows me to setup ip address and routing f...

I'm quite confi...

Re: Atari ST(e) + Mint + NetUSBee

It was just purely for testing.
Many years back, I setup Mint on Atari ST 1 with internet access over PPP (null modem) and it was working fine but slow because of slow PPP connection. Having NetUSBee I wanted to do this same but looks like doesn't work for me.

Atari ST(e) + Mint + NetUSBee

Hello I spent some time trying setup fully working network on my Atari 1040 STE (4MB) with NetUSBee card but unfortunately without success :( I deployed Mint using KGMD and doing testes with upgrading kernels (up to 1.16.1) and MintNet (up to 1.5 PL 1). In most cases situation looks this same - netw...

Re: Announcing ready to use freemint sd card images for the

For people with a 68000 ST, and a ultrasatan card reader: I have made a ready to use Freemint Distribution called MKMD, in the form of a sd card image. You just need to burn the image on a fresh sd card, put it in your Ultrasatan device, and hop, you have the full Freemint, in the form of a standar...

Mint (KGMD) and issue with fonts

I was thinking to remind myself some good old time, and I deployed Mint (KGMD distribution) on my Atari STE 1040 with 4 MB Ram. Whole installation went quite well. After system rebooted system loaded, and I got login prompt from text console. After I logged in I got some distribution info (probably ...

Re: Get your ST on the network using a Raspberry Pi

So what is the best the fastest the cheapest the easiest way to LAN your ST or WAN your ST? Fastest is never cheapest. Netusbee or EtherNec are the fastest but not cheapest. Probably cheapest will be using null modem connection as you will only require null-modem cable. But additional you will have...

Re: Interest in my Falcon + CT60 + Ethernat?

I'm happy to even pre-pay to get this stuff done. On 8-bits Atari market we often do pre-pay so person who is building stuff know how much to build and is already have founds for it.
