Buzzsaw

Hey there, Found out about this pretty much unknown game (after playing the recently released ZX Spectrum version) that was originally only distributed on a ICTARI User Group disk, and thought I'd share it with you. Check it out and download here: http://www.rgcd.co.uk/2011/10/buzzsaw-zx-spectrum.html

Re: Post your game patch requests here

Here it is: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4426238/Tecnoball%20Z.st

It uses the bottom border, which may prove problematic though ;)

Re: Post your game patch requests here

Hi there Klaz :)

Well, of my previous requests, Thrust has been fixed by SHW. But I'm still holding out for a patched version of TechnoballZ :)

RGCD - A new retro gaming blog

Hi there, just a quick and shameless plug for my blog! http://rgcd.blogspot.com/ A few of you may recall the retro-gaming themed discmag I used to edit at http://www.rgcd.co.uk. Unfortunately I don't currently have the time to edit and compile an entire magazine these days, so instead I've decided t...

I'm also with BT and unable to access this forum from home any more. And to make matters worse, my work firewall blocks half the threads here :(

50MB SupraDrive on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50MB-SupraDrive-A ... 0706986046

£10 + £10 UK postage. It weighs 3KG, so if European Atarians want it, it may cost a few quid extra to ship via 'international-signed-for' airmail.

New HD/Falcon fixed game from DBug/SHW - Laser Squad :)

After reading an interview with Julian Gollop in Retro Gamer magazine, I sent SHW a message via the DBug forum asking if there was a version of Laser Squad kicking about that would run from HD so I could give the X-Com precursor a blast. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_Squad There wasn't... but t...

r0x is STE only. And so is the (currently unreleased) prequel ;)

Both games are use the blitter and dma. And r0x zer0 requires the enhanced joystick ports on the side of the machine.

Re: Robotz Dx - Enhanced remake of an Atari ST classic :)

http://www.rgcd.co.uk/robotzdx/ Version 1.02: Improved joypad support and fixed a bug that prevented joy2key and xpadder working with the game (whoops). Improved the .ini file system so that selected control config is automatically saved, and hiscore is recorded even if you quit mid-game. Also, rewo...

Re: Robotz Dx - Enhanced remake of an Atari ST classic :)

Hehe - Nativ, I would have to check with the artist first, but as far as I'm concerned, if you are serious about creating a port then I can provide you with the sprite sheet, end game picture, new fonts and so on. Hit me with a pm. SSB, this game features original explosions, computers/databanks, bo...

Robotz Dx - Enhanced remake of an Atari ST classic :)

Many, many moons ago, I used to play this little game on my Atari ST: http://www.atarilegend.com/games/games_detail.php?game_id=472 I loved it's simplistic strategic 'daleks' game play, and have been waiting for years for a PC remake. Waiting so long in fact, that I gave up waiting and made one myse...

Re: Do you know the Robotz author?

I did originally have the pause in, but it just made the game too easy (without the killer walls)!

Anyway, did some more work on it tonight, fixed some bugs, added the last few robot variations and began work on the remaining levels. Also added a pcb score bonus! :P

Re: Do you know the Robotz author?

hehe - the 'language' is a shitty, yet highly popular pc package called Game Maker 8 Pro. It's an object orientated language for building games, and is really simple. Anyway, updated the build with some bug fixes and improved scoring system. There are some little treasure items to collect now that I...

Re: Do you know the Robotz author?

Well, as a Robotz (windows) remake hasn't happened yet, I decided to give it a go myself... Still very much WIP - consider this a beta ;) However, during design and coding, the game evolved somewhat into a single screen strategic blast-fest :P so it isn't faithful to the source material any longer. ...

Haha - ok, ok, so my reply was totally uneducated. :D

Apologies - I was just making assumptions from what (little) knowledge I have.
