Re: "Waving" RGB output - cause?

Well, yes, if it's the same error. Those adapters use hsync, not csync.

Re: Mega STe differences ?

Btw, the Mega STE incompatibility was caused by behaviour I haven't seen anyone describe before. Autovector interrupt timing (HBL) is different on Mega STE compared to STE ... 8 cycles difference I believe it was. And since Closure sync locks to HBL (thanks for that ;)) it was quite critical.

Re: Mega STe differences ?

Note that it doesn't necessarily means that your drive has a slower settle time. This might depend, among other things, on the utility you used to write the ST/MSA image and how the sectors are physically laid out on the track. Nicolas got one of the 10 physical discs uniquely written one by one by...

Re: uip-tool for USB2LAN adapters

Alright, I have it working with the Lightning VME-adapter on my Mega STE. edit: And now with my Unicorn (on both MSTE and STE) as well. It turns out it's not enough to use USB.PRG from the USB4TOS distrib at freemint - I had to use the USB.PRG from the Lightning VME driver download also for the Unic...

I'm currently stuck at blinking DHCP cursor - it seems it doesn't understand my Airport Extreme. Will debug. Also I'm using a year old Unicorn drivers, so will test with newer ones* as well as with the MSTE Lightning. The chip was as indicated though and detects properly. Swedes go ahead and visit y...

Alright, thanks, found it carried by well known Swedish store chain Clas Ohlson:

Sounds great! - I recall there was a list of suitable adapters using those chips somewhere?

Also, while I'll get one for my Lightning, do you believe this should work with AlanH's Unicorn as well?

Re: Mega STe differences ?

I will add a few delays, and also I noticed (while analysing a floppy routine from a checkpoint demo) that his seek command was: move.w #$17,$ffff8604.w where mine was $13, missing the "verify" bit, I guess that might be an important bit I was missing :D Yeah that's the one I had to add t...

Re: Mega STe differences ?

My floppy code, direct dma, in Closure seems to work on all machines but one owned by Nicolas (of Hatari fame). I had to enable the verification bit for it to start working on his machine/drive (unreleased version). Besides that, yes, I think the a-few-cycles-of-busy-wait needed differs between real...

Re: Mega STe differences ?

In short, no, the incompatibilities that exist are much smaller (setup time for blitter, autovector interrupt cycles etc). However, machines age ... and my MegaSTE indeed seems to have grown an issue that causes it to suddenly read corrupted data from both floppy and hard disk. I'm suspecting someth...

I don't have a CosmosEx myself but the solution I showed above allows usage of both an internal A/B and an external A/B at the same time (depending on how DS0/DS1 are passed through).

Samsung Multisync 940B - only high resolution. Saw a comment at another wiki that the 940BE worked with 15kHz so gave it a shot.

Can your monitor display whether the input signal is 60Hz or 50Hz? If 60, and it's a PAL machine, then your TOS chips might be bad.

Re: 260ST barn find

You have a memory upgrade there! :) Not fully populated either. That's great news (as I alluded to over at Reddit). edit: Yes. you got that right. The Atari talks Shugart, just over 14 pins in that external connector instead of 34. It's just wiring. http://info-coach.fr/atari/hardware/interfaces.php...
