Re: Announcing the Lightning ST - USB & IDE for STs

Yes, that makes sense. By having it as the first driver in the AUTO folder (and if memory test is patched out in TOS 2.06), will a USB keyboard (and USB mouse) work exactly in the same way as the original Atari mouse and keyboard? I had a look at the Atari wiki Lightning VME info-text (there's no S...

Ok. Sounds like there indeed are a bunch of 2MB STEs - so at least that work was in order :) Also shows that not all effects were just animations from RAM ;)

Re: "We Were @" demo question

Surely anyone with actual interest in using the real hardware has already maxed the SIMMs in their STEs? ST is a whole different ballgame however.

ripupx.s removes the dummy PRG header. I modified the code to support latest UPX versions and -small etc for Closure.

I've replaced mine with the Falcon 060 repro - and I can part with it. It's in almost perfect condition, but you'll have to find some double sticky tape yourself.

Re: FX CAST Atari ST core

You know Audio Sculpture well. That program refuses to run on TOS2.06 with real machines or emulated machines. Is that an NTSC issue or a TOS issue? As I've already written, the copy protection in all released versions of AS was written before the release of TOS 2.06. Part of that protection runs T...

As I wrote, it doesn't work on TOS 2.06. It works on all lower TOS versions. Your statement was that it *required* v1.02.

Re: FX CAST Atari ST core

What drives me nuts is that there are lot of programs that also *require* TOS1.02 (like Audio Sculpture) It most definitely does not. However, AS' copy protection for all released versions was done before TOS 2.06 came out and so does not work on that specific version (the cracked version I release...

Re: Alternative to GPL license

I think the closest you can come is to use Creative Commons NC (non-commercial) SA (share-alike). After that you indicate on your website that hobbyists can contact you for a commercial license (you write to them that it's ok in an email).

Yeah I've created an .STL and 3D-printed a plate specifically for the included USB port extender (replace its metal plate).

I think you'll get better answers on the Hatari dev mailinglist, but, in general the 68030 emulation is not cycle exact and especially not when interfacing with other components of the system.
