Re: Geneva

FYI I have received a preview build of Geneva made from the restored code and build machine. Dan is now working on a new build of Neodesk. He plans to release the two together shortly and follow up with source code. Please stay tuned.

Thanks for the appreciation. I hope that Dan can make use of it and make the code open source and that talented Atari coders can pick it up and make a new release!

That's awesome news. Do we know who repaired the drive, someone from the Atari community or a specialist company? The drive has not been repaired. It was beyond repair and has been recovered by a professional data recovery company. Dan is receiving the contents on a USB flash drive. I paid for it o...

An official update: Dan has heard and responded to the petition. You can read it here https://www.change.org/p/dan-wilga-open ... nses/38852. Also the hard drive from a build machine should be making its way to a data recovery company.

Re: Geneva

Hi Tenox, did you get to email Dan Wilga? Yes and things are looking good. Dan got most of the source code restored from his second machine (Falcon). He is going to create new builds as freeware. He is also considering open sourcing all. This is quite likely but not 100% guaranteed as of right now....

Have you tried Calamus SL? 1.09 is very limited. BTW if you have a legal copy of 1.09 you can upgrade to SL 2015 for 99 Euro.

Re: Atari TT030 and system V

16MB is enough to run Atari Unix. Where it gets tight is if you start to compile a lot of software and with more modern GCC versions which are memory hungry. Unless you are doing this, you will be grand.

Re: Atari TT030 and system V

I forgot about this! Never solved 256MB issue. I just install one jumper to mask half off. 128MB is still awesome. Actually anything beyond 64MB is a splurge. My first HPUX workstation in 1992 had 64MB RAM and it was considered a massive amount at that time :)

Re: Atari TT030 and system V

To be fair I actually didn't have to work on it recently. Everything that I did so far is available on http://atariunix.com/ . When I get some time I plan to make a better/bigger image, utilizing SCSI2SD ability to have multiple LUNs. Now having 256 MB RAM I will be able to build more software, poss...

Re: TT High on LCD Panel (ECL2VGA) Adapter Available

TenoxVGA has recently balanced cost of R&D to build and test it. As promised before, TenoxVGA is now open source. Available here: https://github.com/tenox7/tenoxvga

Regular price now dropped to $125 per unit, however extended lead times may apply for a new batch.
