I guess the real question is why do you want to? Are you trying to play them In another program? There are programs which can play mods which hextracker exports already.

Re: Checktrakk by Checkpoint

I had a little play with it last week. I loaded up my old tristar modules. It doesn't seem to support samples yet? It seemed to strip out the speed from the original files but I managed to edit it to correct speed. I will have another shot the next time I have time.

Speaking of animals... I did learn one thing from that, cat urine is ultra corrosive... Yeah I had a mate at school who lost his C64 to a cat enjoying the heat from it...and then peeing on it I am trying to stop our cat destroying any Atari hardware :coffe: that is a special task reserved for my la...

It may be worthwhile posting the BAS file(s)? Too many possibilities Otherwise but It may be automatically declaring the array in interpreted mode but not in compiled? Or maybe an extension is broken in the compiled verson?

Re: correct pattern for I/O in GEM app?

Try here https://www.dev-docs.org/docs/. My vague recollection is that you have to first initialize the protocol to match the device you are connecting to. They should both have the same baud rate, number of start and stop bits , error correction (xon/xoff etc) to allow a handshake. Once that is set...

I hope you find someone near to read the disk image for you. If not just ask on here, for the cost of return postage I am sure someone would volunteer to image the disk for you. Do share your results of your remix!

Re: Hardwarescrolling Control3.5a extension

There is nothing wrong with solving a problem your own way, that's the fun part and it's always nice to have an alternative. I am not sure about the 1 pixel jump issue, it's been a while. But yeah if the line width is longer , normal sprite routines are no use as they don't compensate for the new li...

Re: Hardwarescrolling Control3.5a extension

It may be useful to know that the STE extension also has support for hardware scrolling, it doesn't have mapping and sprite stuff though which would have been a nice addition. A screen split / border with status panel would have been awesome too.

Btw looking good so far!
