Re: "Metroid"

I am so impressed about this project! I finally took the time and played the latest demo using Steem. It's really really great. :)

Re: Giana Sisters STE - New Game!

GREAT GREAT GREAT Giana Sisters!!!

Superb work! I just have tried it in Steem 3.2 and works just fine. I have to transfer this to disk and try it on a real machine. This will be perfect for the "demo room" at Retrospelsmässan 2014! If it´s ok to run it there?

Re: New Jochen hippel remix cd.

Oh, now I just saw that you are from Sweden. Cool, me too! But anyway. I downloaded this remix album a while ago. It is really great. I've been listening to it almost everyday on my way to work lately. I am also a big fan of Jochen Hippel. Any chance of more remixes? I don't know what the song used ...

Re: Substation

I actually know the guys behind Substation, or at least used to hang with some of them. Mikael "Empa" Emtinger was one of the coders. He and I where in the same demo-crew. (ZEAL) Also Olov Johansson (now Olov Lassus) from ZEAL was helping out with the coding. He was only like 14-15 years o...

Re: "Metroid"

Looks really great! This game will be the best platformer for the STE ever created if you finish it. As I probably said earlier, Metroid gameplay is really great and I love the look of this. Keep up the good work, and take the advice from Simonsunnyboy. Look for graphic artist(s) on some forums. A g...

It would've be so cool if you could show this game at Retrospelsmässan 28th of May.

Re: "Metroid"

I haven't thought so much about music yet. I will wait with that until the rest of the game is finished. One idea is to just play a sample so it won't take any processor power. One way is to make short loops and when replaying them put them together to a song... I remember when we coded some demos,...

Re: "Metroid"

Could you make it fit on a disk Zamuel_a? I include PFXPAK (a demo version of a packprogram) It can make PRG-files much much smaller. Perhaps if you include the sprite files etc. to the PRG-file, and pack it with PFX, it will fit on a 720 Kb disk...! I'd really want to show this on the Convention in...

Re: Great games to bring to a convention?

Giana sisters! To show Mario fans what Atari developers did to their maskot. :-D You'd rather show Starioland to get them really mad in ripoff terms. ;) Here are the games I will bring, perhaps some more: http://www.kreese.com/slask/rsm/atarispel.jpg I got both of them with me! :) I made some custo...

Re: "Metroid"

Ahh cool, Gothenburg! I live in Frillesås, between Kungsbacka and Varberg. Do you have a background in the demoscene?

Perhaps it is possible to use AFX and PFX packing utility temporarly, to fit it on a disk...

Do you have an updated demoversion of the Game?

Re: "Metroid"

Wow! This game could be THE game for the STE! I see you are from sweden too. I plan to play sampled music which takes alot of RAM so I think I need 4Mb and I think all STEs today should have it. Why not use music made in maxYMiser instead? That could be awsome. Use samples just for SFX! I think the ...

I have modded a NES controller so that it works on my ST/STE. e5frog.jpg I took a broken random Joystik, used the cable and soldered on the NES pad... I connected orange wire to "Knapp B" (Not to Knapp A as in the pic) so that it works as fire. The white wire (UP) did I connect to "Kn...

Thanks for the info oesii! The ST does not have analogue inputs wired on the joystick ports so they will not work. The STE introduced analogue signals on its extended joystick ports but I guess there weren't many games utilizing them. Btw. one can connect the Jaguar joypads to the extended STE port...

I've got gmail too... I didn't get what the problem is. Are the alot of spamrobots trying to register and using gmail adresses for their e-mails? Isn't there any spam protection for this board?
