Re: Beginning of very long journey

I just found that exxos have it for £5 ! exxos store Those are solder-cup versions and not RA, so not suitable for PCB mount. The RA version of the DSUB-19M is nowhere to be found. Not even Best carries them. Ah, I see... Even Steve (man who organize production of 10.000 DB19 connectors) use them l...

Re: Beginning of very long journey

As you all are well aware I guess, Falcon video connectivity is based on D-sub 19F/M connectors and these are nowhere to find already. So I am thinking to replace it with something more viable. It seems you are right! I bought few last connectors years back in local Serbian store. I just try to fin...

Was there any software better then CuBase or Notator/Logic back in 80s for music? better is subjective: Dr T's 'KCS' and Passport 'Master Tracks Pro' Thanks for replay. I never hear of these two programs... But both are for ST. I was rather thinking if there was some better midi programs then these...

Re: Mac OS X - prevent creation of hidden files .DS_Store ...

I just try BlueHarvester and it do good job on deleting Mac OS hidden files on external USB/CF disks!

I just add my CF card to Spotlight "Privacy" settings (this prevent Spotlight indexing).

I think I am good to go now :)

Re: Beginning of very long journey

Implement all Falcon signals on VGA connector and no problem - if someone need old DB19 it can make VGA <> DB19 adapter.

E. g. I am using SM124 sometimes with my Falcon (I have original Atari DB19 <> DIN13 adapter for this).

Re: The SECRET VIDEO MODE in an ST: 400 lines in COLOR (and with 72 Hz)!

... and: 1280 x 200 (mono, untested because I don't have a suitable monitor), For the record: this mode (1280x200x2@50Hz) works fine with an NEC1970NXp, centurion/ubeswitch tested. This even worked in the NewRez Desktop driver, but with the mono font, so it looked more like 1280x100, aka totally un...

Re: Beginning of very long journey

I just thinking... Atari, Commodore... Sun, HP, SGi... were companies that imagine, develop and manufacture their own hardware and software (some even CPUs)! Today Gigabyte, Asus or MSI have just to design motherboards within specification. They do not need (or can) to "imagine" anything n...
