Re: MagiC/MagiCMacX source updated

Wow, great job! Btw this: Converting UTF-8 input to ASCII. German umlauts in comments are converted to ae, ue etc, while characters in messages were converted to their hexadecimal equivalents. This was needed to be able to compile the sources just after checking out, without having to convert them e...

It's far below 30 Hz refresh rate which is OK for desktop. Accidentally, desktop is the only place where such high resolutions make sense. :)

Re: Atari Falcon keyboard not responding

That can't be related. What is possible though is that you made a short circuit somewhere. I once "burned" a trace on PCB between the keyboard and the ACIA so I had to make a custom wire between them.

Anyway, you need at least a multimeter device to find out what's going on there.

Considering the fact that the latest version is 5.5 years old I'd say that yes, git log is the ultimate source of changes. :)

Re: Beginning of very long journey

This probably rules out the CT6x, since it needs the original 030 to be present during boot (god knows why). I'll speculate here and say it is because R. Czuba didn't want people to manipulate the 030 in any way. AFAIK you have to ground pin 17 (BGACK-, Bus Grant Acknowledge) to signalise that anot...

Re: Falcon DSP mp2 replay frequency

Jus note, there are a slight hardware differences aoround the main 32MHz oscillator between PAL and NTCS Falcon boards. For the sake of completion - CT2B does this differently, too - its external 32 MHz clock for RGB compatibility isn't sourced from the master Falcon clock but from DSP's former 32 ...

As the OP doesn't seem to be interested, I've put it on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253979321420

Tronic, I set the initial price pretty close to £10, so if you are interested, there's your chance. :)

Of course it's possible. Vertical frequency, same as any other parameter, is totally configurable.

This is what I have. As mentioned, can't swear all are without bad sectors but have been stored at a safe place, so chances are good. The paper squares are description labels for each game.

Re: [SOLVED] TT030 + NOVA + Mach64 = four bombs

Heureka! Found the real problem. It was indeed one of the SIMMs. YAART shines at its best -- Atari's TT RAM test passed, desktop and everything all fine but this little tool has uncovered the sad truth. After putting another 128 MB (I'm glad I had this testing frenzy with CT2 when I was buying a lot...

Would you be interested in the collection also without the folder? The floppies should be in a pretty good (visual) condition however can't guarantee their shape inside.

OK, some success at last. First I would like to warn everyone new to this - the driver really doesn't make it easy. On the first boot (power up), before the desktop has been reached, the driver does not show anything - it produces a blank screen. As soon as the desktop has been reached (whether tha...

Strange. I use Storm, Thunder and Lightning. I use 256 Mb EDO memory and the modified TOS 3.06 they provided. Works fine for me. By the way, does different version/revision of TT have anything to do with it? Fascinating. Can you observe the boot behaviour described above? (white screen after emulat...

Oh nice. That makes it really worthwhile to take a look at again. I'm sure I could make a faster build than the default one, that must be not only built on a super ancient setup but also without that 8-bit colour front end.

Interesting. As you can see in my second screenshot, the order is the same on my machine. I can't 100% swear that I tried NVDI+drivers after making sure both JP1 and JP2 are in 1-2 position so this gives me hope. On the other hand, this stuff should work also without NVDI, so that takes my hope away...

For the Lightning + MACH64 Nova you need a spezial Driver. I'll try your driver ASAP. You can measure if the two OGFA GAL Patches are made! Perhaps I will do this as well. Have you check already the ISA MACH card in a PC Mainboard if it works correctly. There are ATI Test Software for the card out ...

Re: TT030 + NOVA + Mach64 = four bombs

I was getting this exact same problem (with exactly the same setup as you) But it was NVDI. I hadn't installed it in NOVA mode. BUT as a side note, I was having bus loading issues which were causing me heaps of memory and bus errors. I fixed it by installing bus loading SIPs. forum: https://www.exx...
