Cheers

The sample it plays when loading is OK, but as soon as it switches to the YM sound chip... yuk. They even managed to get the beat wrong (it's ever so slightly slower than the sample).

Xenon 1 (level 1) for me.

Terramex theme as well, but I think Xenon beats it.

Re: How much for a Mega 2 ST?

I agree with what others have said - around £60-£80. Not long ago I sold a Mega 4 in a Mega 2 case (I'd swapped out the motherboard) on eBay and got £74 for it. It did come with an Atari STM1 mouse, but I think this isn't that important (STM1 is a crappy mouse anyway, about as ergonomic as a hedgeho...

Hey that's a lovely case.. I see a few additional ports have been added. Sure would be good to have a native Mega keyboard port in there!

There was a Riebl network card on the TT I sold to.. Errm... I forget now. But it had a driver, and worked.

Re: Your first videogame ever?

Does Pong count as videogame :) That was the first on my television I ever played. An ugly orange case with 2 paddles on it. The first real arcade: I guess it was Pacman at the local snackbar, but for me its long time ago to remember exactly the first arcade ever... I had one of those units, too! H...

Re: Ultar Satan for sale on ebay

That's not much more than I paid Zaxon for an UltraSatan, and Lotharek's is much better quality. I know, because I have them both.. Well, I had the Zaxon one - Lotharek has it now, I sent it to him for testing. I've got a prototype here which is well built, and I'm waiting for a cased one.

Sexy? Oh dear... If you want one, order from Lotharek's site http://www.lotharek.pl . He is a great bloke and his UltraSatan implementation is top quality. You want the cased version, plus a connector cable (DB19-ACSI). You might think it is a little bit expensive but trust me, it s worth it. The qu...

Re: What's retrogaming for you?

But if you already know the hardware limitations, where is the joy of discovery? Is it not the case that the ST's capabilities have already been exploited? Just playing devil's advocate for a moment. Like the ST in its heyday, modern devices that are new to market also have undiscovered capabilities...
